Super-delegates are the mark of the establishment. It’s a means of circumventing the democratic process by allowing people to make deals, forge alliances, and proclaim vote support overriding the vote of their constituents through primaries. If the voters say “we support this candidate”, then the elected officials should vote in accordance to the voting public who elected them. Not decide for themselves who they’re gonna side with.
