Degrees are like stamp collections

So, I was talking with one of my mgtow buddies, and he’s doing the whole online dating thing. He has had mixed luck as most of the women are landwhales. He said he recently went on a date where this fat bitch showed up, but was expecting that her college degree somehow made up for the fact that she was fat. And she was talking about how my buddy is shallow for not judging her for her degree and instead of how fat she is.

Then I got to thinking. A woman’s college degree is kind of like a stamp collection if you’re a man. You can have a stamp collection, you might be very proud of your stamp collection, you might have spent 50 grand on your stamp collection. Your friends might think having a stamp collection is the most important thing you can do to attract a woman. But it’s still a f~~~ing stamp collection.

Let’s say you’re fat, have bad teeth, and have a dull personality. Then you whip out your stamp collection and expect it to somehow make up for your short comings. Nope. When will women realize that men don’t give a f~~~ about your degree? WE DON’T CARE. Having a nice stamp collection won’t get you a woman. So why the f~~~ would a degree get you a man?

That sounds like one more case of one-way expectations. The man MUST meet her expectations and overlook the obvious, but he MUST NOT have any expectations for her.

I just hope the degree was not in Women’s Studies.

Actually, the more I think about this the more bizarre it becomes. It sounds like the landwhale was expecting the man to evaluate her using a woman’s criteria. In other words, the emphasis was not on the person but on the assets and resources they could bring to the relationship.

Or, it could be a deflection away from the fact that she is large enough to distort the local gravity….

If she wasn’t a land whale she would’ve had the puppies hanging out with a short skirt on. Come to think of it, she wouldn’t have needed the degree and wouldn’t have bothered to get one.

That was always my take on situations like this. You tell a woman you have an engineering degree and make 6 figures and they’re soaked so they think telling you they have some degree will be a turn on…yet you’d much rather have a woman that swallows and makes sandwiches.

Now all other things being equal, of course I’d take a girl with a decent job over a girl with a minimum wage career if I was looking for a gf, but what they do for a job and how much money they make wasn’t ever a very important factor for me even when I was putting a bit more effort into finding a gf.

Hehehe, ah the double standards. This is woman-logic at its finest, in other words no logic at all. Also the total disregard and naivitivity about male sexuality is striking. Enjoyed your stamp-analogy Silverstone, seems to me that you hit the nail directly at the head.

“Stamp-collecting” is a hobby to do in ones spare time, not to be used to excel in the eyes of the opposite gender. Yet, the woman in the example above can be excused and understood to some extent. She thinks like a woman because she is a woman. She base her attractiveness among men on the foundations of female sexuality. It is clear that she really has no idea of how a man thinks.

Women would judge a man based on his “stamp-collection”. The more stamps a man has, not to mention the total worth of all those stamps put together, sums up the utility value of that very man. What can HE do for HER? How good a provider can he be to her? This is how women think, all of them with no exceptions. This also includes those that claims this not to be the case, especially those as they know what they are doing.

The woman in the example above failed because she made herself into a utility. She tried to take on a provider role where none was needed. But most of all she thought that men view women as utilities as well, and that apperances and values are less important. Men are visual, all the “stamps” in the world could not make a landwhale more attractive. The only exception that comes to mind would have to be beer-goggles 🙂

Us men are more into t&a, if she can cook or clean or not, How sexual she is, and how fun is it to be around the person more then any college degrees. College degrees on a woman are like trying to pick up chicks with your comic book collection (of course you think the person will like it due to wearing a batman shirt but in reality they don’t give a s~~~).
