    Bond, James Bond.

Well it looks like we won’t be getting a new James Bond after all. We’re stuck with Daniel Craig as our Bond for right now. Now if only they could focus on making the movies better. I think i can speak for everyone when I say Spectre SUCKED!!!. The only Bond movies of Daniel Craigs that I liked were Casino Royale and Skyfall.

    What are your thought??

I have only seen one of his movies, he comes across as more of a goofy looking soccer hooligan parading as an underwear model than the sly witty Bond I grew up with in Connery and Moore. I don’t watch new s~~~ anymore really, so they can cast George Costanza as Bond for all I care at this point.

The first couple were good because they were more realistic and gritty. Bond was shown as a more ruthless individual. He’s a killer. Slowly the movies started jumping the shark again with more gadgets and a more caring JB. Pretty sure i won’t watch the next one.

I’ll probably watch it. But in my opinion it probably won’t measure up to Casino Royale or Skyfall.

The SJWs will be p~~~ed. They’ve been deliberatly trying to ruin the franchise by demanding that the next James Bond is a woman.

I’ve seen all Bond movies and I’m an avid fan of the franchise. The Roger Moore years transformed Bond into a smirky playboy who survived on some skill but mostly just pure luck. Long gone were the Sean Connery days where Bond was a hardened assassin of sorts. Timothy Dalton was somewhat OK but then Pierce Brosnan almost killed the whole franchise.
Daniel Craig was a breath of fresh air because, with him, Bond started to get back to his roots as a trained orphan who’s been practically brainwashed to eliminate all threats to England.

I’m happy that Craig decided to continue, and I hope that the writers continue to build on the previous themes that Craig portrayed.

Anyway communication, real open communication, is not wanted or even required in a relationship. Women cannot handle fully open and honest communication, plus most perceive it as a weakness on the part of a man. All that is required is catering to her whims, and even then nothing is certain. There is no way to be sure of having a successful relationshit with a woman. MGTaoist

Dalton was a more serious Bond and worked (even though most rejected him after Moore)

But how did Brosnan nearly kill the franchise? Goldeneye is one of the best Bond films and TND/WISNE were also great films. He was suave all the way and brought Bond back to the Moore years

Craig was start of the feminisation – he is “flawed” which allows women to think they can fix him like they think for every Chad that makes them wet

I see your point but for me the Moore years were not the highlight of the Bond era. It departed from the rawness and unapologetic brutality of the killer that Bond is supposed to be and almost entered comedy status. Brosnan took it a step further and almost brought it to slapstick. I don’t really think that you’re supposed to spend most of a Bond movie giggling and laughing. So maybe Brosnan almost killed the franchise for me but not for others. And coming from Remington Steele, I couldn’t really accept him in the role of Bond. It just never fit for me.
Craig started bringing back the rawness of the character again but I will admit that Skyfall was a bit over the top in playing up his orphanage and his inner turmoil, that’s not what I consider important in Bond. So you’re right in that aspect, the pussification of Bond saw it’s infancy in Skyfall. I truly hope that they learned from that (and Spectre) and fully embrace the true Bond character once again in the future.
