I have been diagnosed with bi-polar, but I am not under a psychologists care at this time. I foolishly informed my manager of my disability over a year ago.

She claims that she has received 8 complaints about me, but will not elaborate as to who complained. Also, she recently had one of my professional license terminated because I did not attend a meeting.

Today I was informed that they need me to go to my doctor and have him fill out a fitness for duty form. If I do not my privilege to work will be delayed or denied.

They want my doctor to review my job description and disclose my medical history and prescriptions.

I am not doing that. As Hitman once said, “I don’t know what they want, but they are not getting it from me.”

I need advice. I am currently looking for an employment lawyer in the Cincinnati area. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like a HIPAA violation to me. I like seeing a lawyer as next step.

Get a lawyer. They don’t really need a reason to fire you though, the cards are stacked against you in a right to work state. If they suddenly say there’s 8 complaints against you then something is definitely fishy.
