Interesting but I got the impression this writer tended to almost apologise for being a man when he tries to defend maleness.

Then after his point about maleness he claims women are the stronger sex and reinforces it a few times. But boys will be boys he says.

Yes Jumbo you’re right. He does seem to contradict himself and he does come off as a super-power Mangina but I still think the article itself–or at least its basic point was encouraging.

Thanks Tower. I always refused to watch any of the new Trek stuff because I thought the “update” of the characters would be to some kind of hipster idiot—your clip proves my point. Glad I never wasted money on these flics.

I totally disagree with this article. The whole thing has an worrying tradcon vibe. I f~~~ing hate it when tradcons insult modern men without focusing on modern women.

“Nu-males” are products of feminism. They are wusses because they are afraid to insult modern women. This is understandable because modern women are a bunch of horrifying c~~~s and castrators. If you have issues with “nu-males” then blame women. It’s all women’s fault.

Modern men do not “grimace and express it”. That’s total f~~~ing bulls~~~. Men nowadays are afraid to express themselves because women want to take away free speech – just like tradcons.

Self-expression is a good thing. Feminists and tradcons both want to take it away. I think that we should do our jobs, but we should vent our spleens online because we can.

Men don’t need to “grin and bear it”. Women need to f~~~ing do that.

I have difficulty reading that article because of how f~~~ing disgusting it is.

Men in the past were stoic because they were authority figures. In real life, stoicism is only good if you are an authority figure. If you are stoic, you can easily hide your weaknesses so that nobody can exploit them. That’s the whole point. Stoicism is only good for manipulation and intimidation.

If you have nobody to rule over, stoicism is no longer a good thing. We can blame women for that. Women don’t want to be ruled anymore and so men have no reason to be stoic. If you hold in your emotions and you aren’t an authority figure then you are just bottling up your pain for no f~~~ing reason.

Overall, the author of this article is blaming men for problems that women cause … like a typical tradcon piece of s~~~.
