Creating Your Filter

Most people have no concept of a verbal filter. They open their mouth
and out comes whatever drivel is in front of their brain. It doesn’t
matter whether what they were going to say is somehow inappropriate
or not. Out it comes because there is no filter to stop it.

Learn to create your own verbal filter and start using it. Take
the time to collect your thoughts and carefully select your
words. This requires time to think and most people don’t think before
speaking. Being precise in the use of your words and the language that
you use will also make you become more precise in your thinking. Sloppy
language leads to sloppy thinking. Disciplined language leads to
disciplined thought.

If you speak with precision then people will see that it must be only
because you think with precision. They will inherently understand this
even though the vast majority of people would never be able to tell you why
or could even be capable of articulating the idea. Do this and
your reputation will grow.

Creating and using your filter becomes key in avoiding socially awkward
and unecessary interactions. It will keep you from triggering the
Feminazis and increase your stealthiness.

Learn new words and start trying to increase your vocabulary.

But it is not for everyone! excuse me but u sound very PC ! this site goes more like this “bitch get out of my way I am Very busy building myself a life! ” of course it could have gone this way “I apologize miss but I am rather late and will have to postpone this meeting!” Personally I speak fluently 2 languages and I am working on mastering my Russian .. But here on this site I don’t think that anyone gives a f~~~ about this PC crap, a site where substance and truth are king! on this I need to get back to work, have a great week end.

Great post it is very true in every aspect of life, especially work life. It also means getting the emotion and the exaggeration out of your discourse. If people start to think you are very precise, they will believe what you say. Then you can sell your ideas much better.
