What does mgtow mean to you? We all know that you found mgtow not the other way around. What does the philosophy mean to you? For me it’s just a guide to live my life the best way I see fit, don’t hate anyone or anything just understand the truth and be on guard. What’s mgtow if you even want to call it that mean to you?

Aside from what’s on the “about” page , it’s just about listening to my manstincts. Discarding an approval-seeking mentality, not “explaining” oneself, establishing one’s own set of values and moral code guided by absolute truth and natural law (which is bigger than the man himself), carving toxic people and roadblocks out of one’s life, and “apologizing” for nothing. Whatever it takes to maintain one’s own sovereignty. Whatever it takes.

I always knew something wasn’t right, but rather than fighting it, I just “went my own way” rather peacefully to avoid conflict….. and at 39, I could say I “came of age”. One random morning, I decided not to put with any monkeys~~~ anymore – no matter what the outcome. Previously, I would often comply, agree, play nice, be a politician, tolerate all kinds of nonsense and adjust (or shut up) in order to be agreeable… but was never rewarded for it, and eventually realized if you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’re gonna keep getting what you always got.

So I listened to my programming, and then I did the opposite.
Ho boy, what a difference.

There was once “a MGTOW manifesto” which we published here when we first opened almost exactly 3 years ago. We did it to preserve the words others wrote before us and to honor them, but surprisingly (and also unsurprisingly), we received some staunch pushback for that. “I don’t need no manifesto”. So we pulled it.

Instead, we put that opening paragraph on the about page up ( which took nearly two weeks to condense if you can believe that) because – as @hominid said above – it’s about all you can say without coming off as dictatorial, and imposing on others.

We never heard a negative word about it since.
