    http://nbc4i.com/2017/06/05/columbus-city-council-to-vote-on-mayors-order-to-protect-immigrants/

I live in the suburbs of Columbus. I heard about this on the radio coming home from my bike ride on Saturday.

Apparently the city council met and passed this legislation without any opposition. Meaning they did not allow anyone to voice their opposition to the legislation. The one man running for city counsel who opposed this, said that he was ushered out of City Hall before it was passed.

Mayor Ginther is a little cuck piece of s~~~ too. Doesn’t have the b~~~~ to name Columbus as a “Sanctuary City”

I wish the Feds would go in and arrest them.

All my life I've had doubts about who I am, where I belonged. Now I'm like the arrow that springs from the bow. No hesitation, no doubts. The path is clear. And what are you? Alive. Everything else is negotiable. Women have rights; men have responsibilities; MGTOW have freedom. Marriage is for chumps. If someone stands in the way of true justice, you simply walk up behind them and stab them in the heart-R'as al Ghul.

So, they do this without a vote? Can the people submit a bill to overturn this decision?

Yeah…what they did sounds nice and legal….

If you have to silence and remove opposition your position is so weak it cannot stand up to scrutiny. It’s a good sign to back up and look at why it is falling apart. Course that level of insight is asking a lot in today’s society.

But given what they are pushing for don’t think that argument can stand without opposition.

It’s like the ACLU pushing for rights of illegals… generally their only right should be to get shipped back home. If someone makes their first act to come to the US illegally they aren’t going to respect any laws, as it will constantmy fall to “but that doesn’t apply to me”. Best to ship them out than deal with the BS. Plus with wellfare state in it’s current state they may regret coming here.

Hope that someday I may lead others the path I have learned. As Virgil led Dante through Hell.

According to what Kieran Cartharn said on the radio, yes there were shanannagans going on and no opposing voices were heard. I guess he even had an hour presentation ready to go before he was removed from City Hall.

The city of Columbus is very blue, city counsel is blue, Columbus Public Schools (Which are an absolute mess) also blue. There hasn’t been a republican mayor since 2000. Businesses and residents who have half a brain are moving out, and have been moving out of the city since Coleman was elected back in 2000. The suburbs are growing fast in terms of residential and commercial areas. Honestly I’ve never seen more new builds going on and I’ve lived here my entire life.

Kasich has only gotten worse over the years, it’s mostly his fault that all the immigrants were allowed to move to the city in the first place. The majority of the immigrants live on the east side. Not a day goes by that there isn’t a homicide, or multiple homicides on the east side. Take a trip out there (at your own risk) and you see people milling around homes and streets on a weekday afternoon. Welfare and unemployment lines are wrapped around the block.

A couple years ago at a Blue Jacket’s game, they played a quick presentation from Mayor Coleman on the jumbo-tron and everyone in the crowd booed at him. The fans (like most pro sports fans now) are mostly middle-upper middle class folks since the tickets cost way too much for the average Joe 6 pack to attend.

I don’t know if it can be overturned or not, I guess it was some kind of executive order. But since the city is completely blue, there wasn’t much opposition anyway.

Federal government should defund all cities/counties who do this. Without immigration rules being enforced you have no country, why not just disband it all together then?

Mudwhistle: I live near Cowlumbus also.

You mean our governor Kay Suck? The guy that wanted to tax fracking, expanded Medicare, and wanted us to STAY in the Paris accord? Is he really a Republican?

There are too many POLITICAL refugees in Columbus. I like the Somalis that work (mostly earlier waves), in contrast, I very much dislike most of the more recent political refugees who are leaches… I’d prefer fewer benefits, so we attract hard workers of any nationality.

Yea Kas~~~. He fooled me good at the beginning, took him a couple years to show his true colors.

I’ve worked with Somalis here too, about 10 years ago, and they were decent hardworking guys that came from a really s~~~ty life.
