This is a very stupid idea. Most likely, it will be populated by mostly gay and bisexual men. Even straight men who may be sympathetic will shy away as people will think they are gay, and don’t want somebody to cop a feel.

And that’s where it gets really bad. Someone’s going to grab someone’s crotch without consent, and now you’ve got a rape charge. A supervisor will decide to ignore it, and the the univ will be accused of not only promoting a rapey culture, but ignoring it when rape does happen.

Kind of related question: If gender is a social construct, wouldn’t that imply that segregation by gender is inevitable? If you have a group of people and you break them into two groups, you’ve created two independent societies. Each group is different and therefore can be defined as it’s own gender. If you then take another group and break them into two groups with biological men in one, biological women in another, you’re essentially doing the same thing. You’re creating two new genders as defined by the societal groups that were created.

So when it comes to Title IX, it is impossible to meet the standards, unless everyone is allowed to play on scholarship by the specific gender they define themselves as, or group(s) they happen to belong to.
