The reason T.May called an election is because the opposition is incredibly weak, so she can secure another 4 years in power; but more importantly she needs the mandate for Brexit and getting her mandate legally made as well as having support from the general public after getting a landlslide victory, Gives her the support to push for whatever hard Brexit the Torys want. As a British male in favour of Brexit this gets us back our soverignty, nation state and will help control the borders. There will still be lots of immigration, but more controlled, which Germany, Sweden and France are seeing as increasingly important and something they can’t control. I remember the Dortmund fans in Germany having a huge banner saying we welcome refugees (a year or 2 back) I think there view will be beginning to change now. The U.K Is going in the right direction; they are getting off the sinking, bankrupt EU ship.
