Not sure if this is the correct area to post.

Anyone smoke pipes specifically? I myself have a small pipe collection.

Today I’m at the tobacco store after a visit to the VA for a mental health appointment. Tried a new cigar from Paxton and it’s really good. I’ll try and upload photos later.

I don’t smoke pipes, but I vape and smoke cigars. I’ve been enjoying Montecristo White Series and Montecristo Premium Series. Gonna pick up a few boxes when I get a chance. The last Premium Series that I smoked was a mild burn for whatever reason, until I came back the next day and relit it after about halfway of smoking the day before. For whatever reason it went from mild to holy-s~~~ in-your-face full-on, but it had a great flavor to it. Unfortunately the cigar was just too short to smoke it any further, just too hot.

I love the smell of pipe tobacco but I have never used one. I will indulge in a cigar occasionally though. A cartoon once said they send a clear, distinct message to women: leave the room.

I don't hate women. I just feel better when they're not around.

Moved onto snus and I gotta say I’m liking the nicotine hit it’s giving me and the flavors aren’t bad.

I love my pipes, but the cost of tobacco down here is out of control. Hard to be a smoker of anything down here. Even weed is cheaper now.

    Welcome, Othulian!

Yes, I am both a pipe and cigar smoker. I love a good pipe or a cigar. Never smoked a cigarette, but pipes and cigars I love. I don’t get the chance to smoke often, so I don’t purchase a lot of pipe tobacco since it sometimes dries out before I have a chance to use it. I need to get a good humidor! I have been shopping around for a good cigar humidor for a bit now, just so I don’t have to worry about them going bad if I don’t smoke them right away.

Lately, I have been smoking some Kinnykinnick that I bought from a Rendezvous in Prairie Du Chein, Wisconsin. That stuff is very aromatic and tastes very good. I also have been blending a bit of my own lately, combining some Virginia Flake tobacco with some burly and cavendish. That is not bad stuff at all!

For cigars, the last one I smoked was a Brick House Fuma cigar. That was a really good medium cigar. Took about two hours to smoke, but it was worth it! I tend to go to a humidor if I want to smoke cigars or pipe tobacco. I have not found much good tobacco bought over the counter.

Keep us in the loop as to the tobacco you encounter! Always love to talk to a cigar and pipe enthusiast!

    Take care, brother!

not pipes, but cigars. prices are best online, you avoid the crushing state sales taxes.

I live in a hot climate, so use a winecooler style converter humidor. Hot temperature + humidity encourages mold or possible tobacco beetles.

Steve d tim, you dont particually need a super good one, but it’s a good idea to have one. I think in general, they’re pretty reasonably priced.

    Well, said BS!

Yes, I live in Wisconsin, so having a good humidor is good in the wintertime. I frequent Pipes and Cigars.com and I have noticed quite a few nice humidors on there for a reasonable price. I don’t have the time or the room to smoke as often as I would like to, but I would like to get a nice humidor.

You mentioned you liked cigars, which is one of your favorites? Recently, I had a good friend of mine have me try a Brick House Fuma. It is a medium bodied cigar that was very good!

You technically dont need a “real humidor”. People repurpose coolers and plastic containers all the time. Main thing is that it can seal and you have a humidity gauge. It’s a more cost effective method of storing if you have a large collection. You can either pay an obscene amount of money getting a humidor or drop $50 to get a 100 gallon cooler from home depot.

I dont think I have a favorite particular cigar, but I think my tastes run similar to yours. I prefer medium body dark wrappers. I started off with naturals since they were easier to smoke, but they’re a bit lacking on the flavor. I’ve smoked my share of cubans, but I honestly dont think they’re all that special.

cigars I smoked recently – montecristo media noche, draw was tight, but had great flavor, and burned well. think it was in my humidor for a few years, which smoothened the taste out.

drew estates tabak especial – flavored cigar, most cheap flavored cigars suck, but this one is quite good. Bit more expensive. Other people around me weren’t bothered by the smoke, which is a plus of this cigar. The smoke is sweeter smelling. Some cigars are good, but the 2nd hand smoke smells offensive. lol

nub – I like this cigar, pretty well rounded flavor and construction wise. Good shorter smoke.

My hands-down favorite is the Arturo Fuente Short Story. I do like Partagas in general. Padron makes a good smoke too.

My absolute favorite cigar is by Drew Estate’s from their Acid line. The Roam is very flavorful with a great aroma. The gauge and length is perfect for me. I’ve had both men and women come up to me and tell me they love the smell and ask me about it. I even had one strange drunk woman come up and ask me for a puff. It was burnt down short and was getting hot anyway so I let her puff on it.

I recently found a nice cheap cigar called Trader Jacks that is really a pretty good smoke and most of my cigar smoking buddies agree. They’re definitely not a high end cigar, but for the money, they’re not bad.

~BS, you mentioned using plastic containers or coolers as a humidor. That will work to keep the cigars moist, but for me, the plastic ruins the flavor and aroma of the cigars. I pay a lot of money for my cigars and prefer to keep them in an actual cedar lined humidor. The cedar wood helps keep your cigars at the proper humidity and I’ve found that mold is not a problem as it might be in a plastic container. You can find them reasonably priced on line. Also, a nice humidor is aesthetically pleasing and adds a bit of charm for the cigar hobbyist.

I buy all my cigars and cigar accessories at bestcigarprices.com.

    Greetings brothers!

Thank you for the good advice, BS and Hermit!

I will have to check out a plastic cooler. I had never thought of that and that actually might work for a bit for a humidor. I am working some extra hours at work so I can get back on budget so perhaps I can invest more in cigars, humidors and what not. Lately, I have been smoking some good Erin Go Bragh Tobacco from Pipes and Cigars.com and that has been very good.

In a few weeks, I will be heading out into the woods with a good friend of mine for some deer hunting and we will be enjoying some good cigars. I will have to try Roam from Acid and Trader Jacks sometime. I have tried other Acid cigars and they are quite good. I like the idea too of Trader Jacks cigars. I like the smaller cigars sometimes when you don’t have an awful lot of time to smoke a good regular cigar. The small ones do come in handy.

I will need to check out bestcigarprices.com and see what good deals I can find!

Take care brothers and keep up the good fight!

No i am more into cigarettes specifically the pack i am one right now is the Pall Mall menthol green (not the white or dark one just the full flavor).

When it comes to pipes i do not own anything but i do know that i could just take apart a cigarette and then put it into a weed bowl but that is the closet thing i can get a pipe.

How how are the flavored mini cigars?
