What is disturbing about her high school: her group of friends went to parties with ALCOHOL on a regular basis and BRAGGED ABOUT GETTING DRUNK AND PASSING OUT in their yearbook. If I was a parent, I would be outraged to look at Ford’s yearbook and see images of beer bottles and read tales of wild parties. Perhaps the parents of these wealthy, spoiled, socialites were too busy creating scandals of their own in Washington D.C. (since some of them got their money from their political/government careers).

Does anyone remember Tom Leykis’ analogy of rape? Yes, rape is wrong and there’s no way I’m ever going to condone it. However, if you’re passed out at a party it’s sort of like parking your car in a bad neighborhood and leaving the keys inside while you shop. If you don’t want evil people touching you, don’t make it easy for them to do so.

What I see is a bunch of wild teenagers with no responsibility or accountability for their behavior and granted too much freedom & money from their parents. And now they want some sort of vindication—now that they’re older and wiser—because they are ashamed of their past behavior. They’ll get their vindication by joining the #MeToo movement with or without compelling evidence to back up their accusations.
