Anonymous7Now, to be sure promising and doing are NOT the same thing. Lets see how this plays out but it sure looks like China blinked first.
China’s President Xi Jinping on Tuesday promised to cut China’s auto import tariffs and ease restrictions on foreign ownership in its auto industry amid an escalating tariff spat with Washington.
“We will take the initiative to expand imports,” Xi said during his keynote speech at the opening of the Boao Forum for Asia, China Plus News reported. “China does not seek trade surplus; we have a genuine desire to increase imports and achieve greater balance of international payments under the current account,” he said.
I can imagine in a century historians wondering why the U.S. government establishment was hellbent on deposing one of the most economically successful U.S. Presidents in history.

I will admit I am a bit of a homer. Trump was not my first pick but he grew on me.
Again, economics is not my bailiwick but it sure as s~~~ looks like China just blinked.
And if we can believe what we are hearing coming out of N.Korea and pudgy rocket man is sincere (I doubt it) then it is possible that the Norks blinked too.
Yet, the media and the left still portrays Trump as a Buffoon.

I agree.

I belief they realize they are talking with someone that prefers diplomacy of war, but whom will stand by his words and beliefs.
Yet, the media and the left still portrays Trump as a Buffoon.
The same media and progressives whom believe that raiding one of President Trump’s lawyers was a good event. If they realized how bad a move this is they would likely be backtracking.
They could have requested the information in a civil manner. But, by using force they have opened a door they should not have.
By this action they have ignored the law on “attorney-client privilege” for one of the most powerful men on Earth. That does not speak well for the attorney-client privilege for other people, including CEOs, lobbyists, and those involved in politics.
