Chicago City Government demands “indentured servitude” for HS diploma.

The Chicago City government is showing their fascist side by moving the goal post in the middle of the game.

The Chicago City government demands that high schoolers in public school demands that to get that High School Diploma, the school must either first have a job where there are none, be in gap-year program that requires strings be pulled to be in, have a college enrollment letter that requires either being rich or become a debt slave, or joining the military which means being forced to give up rights.

Of course the rich, including those that are children of city government officials, will be exempt because they go to private schools.

This is only going to make things worse.

My suggestion for those people caught in the middle of this, quit, get a GED and file a lawsuit with the Chicago City government for unreasonable demands for a High School Diploma.

My suggestion would be to tell Rham Emanuel to go f~~~ himself with an eggplant, and GET. THE. F~~~. OUT. OF. CHICAGO.

Now this i dont mind. It would be better for the students to show that they either have a job, have an apprenticeship or in college. Think about the alternative. They would be drug dealers and gang bangers. Do we really need anymore of that. Now I know the first inclination is to say F~~~ Chicago and I would usually agree. But it would be better to have the students be involved in something other than wrong doing

But, they might get a nice settlement from a class action lawsuit.

You forget the hypocrisy and elitism that this only effect the poor and middle-class, while the rich whom pass such rules exempt themselves and their families from such rules.

So let me get this straight.
The high-school dropout rates have reached epidemic proportions and he wants to make it even harder to get a diploma?!?
If he’s not trying to undermine low and middle-class students I don’t know what he’s trying to do then.
Just who voted for him? I bet NO ONE with more than a couple brain cells left.

Rahm Emanuel, the current mayor of Chicago, is a member of the Obama inner circle. As far as they are concerned, arranging failure is not enough, they have to make sure no American can succeed, unless those Americans are part of the rich globalists circles, such as themselves.

Just who voted for him? I bet NO ONE with more than a couple brain cells left.

This is Chicago, the voter-fraud capital of the U.S. It is questionable that anyone did vote for him and the voting machines were set to pick him.

    Just as I suspected.

the school must either first have a job where there are none

—————————– Quoted from the article ———————————
In the scenario Chicago’s mayor envisions, students from the poorest areas of the city, where many parents are often absent due to their work schedules, problems with the law, or other issues, children nearing the end of their senior year will have to head to a counselor’s office for advice on which path to take if they want to obtain their high school diplomas. Unfortunately, in many of the schools in those areas, counselors often work with 400 students at a time. With few resources to offer sound advice, these students will be forced to do whatever seems easier, less complicated, and perhaps less burdensome in order to meet the new requirements. As such, many will enlist in the military while others will head to already crowded city colleges. The other obvious consequence of this policy is that many students will simply postpone graduating or completely give up on it.
    ————————————————————————————–

While this initially sounds like a good idea, it is indeed a very bad on as you have mentioned Faust. The local college’s can’t take that many students as the scholarships are not there. The High School counselors can’t help the students make up their minds as there are too few to actually work with the students to make real choices. The military does not need that many students enlisting into fields all at once.

Good idea to keep them busy, very bad idea to not allow them to have the H.S. diploma to acknowledge that they have finished a very difficult program … H.S. in Chicago is no piece of cake, unless you are already entitled.

Flushing them down the drain to look for resources some other place.

Public education is little better than liberal indoctrination. Hopefully the kids who can’t graduate won’t be missing much.

We may be looking at a future where only the wealthy can afford to receive education. Just think about what that says about America.

It’s a terrible idea and probably counter to law as well. It reveals a sense of official desperation—warranted by the failure of the schools, the kids and their parents to aim at a shared goal. In fact, the goals of the schools, the kids and the parents are so “unshared” that I’m amazed that public school students graduate with the modest level of literacy and numeracy that they currently possess. It’s an odd requirement for graduation because it doesn’t even make kids “smarter.” It just makes them commit to do something in the future, even if it means getting stuck in a lousy job, joining the military for the wrong reason or signing up for a program of doubtful effectiveness which guarantees nothing in terms of outcome.

At the very least this violates the Americans with Disabilities Act because those with disabilities likely cannot be able to meet such requires through no fault of their own. I am sure there are other laws that are violated with this new local requirement.

It reveals a sense of official desperation—warranted by the failure of the schools,

Actually, this shows a deep contempt and loathing by those in power towards the common people.

The current mayor of Chicago was a member of the Obama team. Early in Obama’s first term, he tried to force a change that to get a High School Diploma, that students had to join a government program or the military. This attempt was quickly shut down by the republicans.

This requirement in Chicago is an extension of such attempts at tyranny.
