    Surely this can’t be right?

Convicted of espionage and sentenced to 35 years in military prison only to be let off early by Obama, surely this precludes any such effort? someone all but convicted of treason should not be able to obtain such high office no?

Oliver North is now the President of the NRA, so I suppose anything can happen at this point…

Ollie has been on the NRA board of Directors for 20+ years.

The length of the mistake in the making is of no interest to me, it is a big mistake, mark my words.

Just so I am not misunderstood, I am a long term member of the NRA and what Manning is running on is ridiculous.

OH I get it you are an NRA member interested in protecting the rights of armed citizens BUT you hold a grudge against Ollie. Well I for one don’t care. I support ANYONE who is out there defending the 2d Amendment, doesn’t matter who they are to me.

    You missed again Pete.

I wish the best for the NRA and feel he hurts the organization as the front man, nothing more, nothing less.

Also, for a guy who ran guns to Iran, a country you despise and consider the enemy I would think you would be the one who doesn’t like the guy for personal reasons…

Lets end this in this thread, go over to my thread about it if you would like to continue.

If you’re a convicted felon, you’re not supposed to be able to hold political office. This very tactic was used to keep Buddy Cianci from running for office again in Rhode Island after he had been jailed for corruption charges as mayor of Providence.

Bradley Manning is not eligible to run for the senate because of his prior conviction.

The Democrats don’t care, as laws to them may be broken as long as they benefit from the action.

Those who point fingers and cry about injustices are themselves the worst offenders.

Don't chase tail. Turn yours around, walk away, and live free!

I got to share this quote. Man I miss the 80’s.

    “My opponent is a document-shredding, Constitution-trashing, commander-in-chief-bashing, Ayatollah-loving, arms-dealing, criminal-protecting, resume-enhancing, Noriega-coddling, Swiss-banking, law-breaking, letter-faking, self-serving, snake-oil salesman who can’t tell the difference between the truth and a lie,” – 1994, then-Sen. Chuck Robb (D-Va.)

And as far as “Her” pole-a-dicks, of course Chelsea would be all for closing prisons and open immigration. Those men are going to need some place to lay down their sausage and ahem “her” hot chocolate hole.

It’s hard enough being ugh.. ugh…. these days. We need to support our frivolous freinds with all the help these umm.. these… him.. her, zehe heshe shehe it gunt? can get.

You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home

I hope he or she (whatever how you see it) loses! We don’t need anymore destructors in office. Besides, he can run on whatever he/she wants; he can’t pass anything without Trump’s signature approval.

I’m hugely anti-Manning, but sorry, it is eligible. FELONS CAN BE ELECTED TO CONGRESS. The only requirements are age, several years of citizenship, and live in the state they represent. That’s it.

“The Constitution requires that members of the House and Senate fulfill three requirements:

•All members of the House must be at least 25 years old, and members of the Senate must be at least 30 years old.

•Members of the House must have been a U.S. citizen for at least seven years, and members of the Senate must have been a U.S. citizen for at least nine years.

•They have to be an “inhabitant” of the state “when elected.”

As a result, according to the Congressional Research Service, committing a crime cannot constitutionally disqualify someone from serving in Congress. And the state has no say in determining whether or not someone is qualified to serve in the House or Senate”
