But I have been fortunate enough to meet a few men that I considered to be influencial in my life.

I’ve met a bunch of celebrities over the years and they are mostly average douchebags/bitches in real life. Everything you see in media is just a manufactured public image on screen. They have so many insecurities, narcissistic personalities, and a never ending need for outside validation.
Tina Turner was nice though, a rare exception.

Anyway communication, real open communication, is not wanted or even required in a relationship. Women cannot handle fully open and honest communication, plus most perceive it as a weakness on the part of a man. All that is required is catering to her whims, and even then nothing is certain. Yeah, I would imagine it would be a let down to meet any of them. They are, after all, just people. I had a chance to meet Alice Cooper once, but then decided it wouldn’t be worth the two and a half hour drive and the sea of people I’d have to wade through.

Now I do wish I could’ve met Charles Manson, if for no other reason than because he was a creepy piece of history that will probably last longer than Jack the Ripper. Yeah, he was just a punk piece of s~~~ with a bunch of drugged up idiots to do his bidding at the time of the murders, but psychos like that interest me.

We don’t have any interesting serial killers like that anymore. Now it’s just the losers who mass murder people before taking the cowards way out and giving fuel to the fire of gun control.

Yeah, Steve Jones was a Welsh distance runner specialising in the 10,000m and the Marathon. A gritty working-class Celtic warrior from the Ebbw vale valley. Worked full time in the RAF. Changed the way Marathons were run by front running all the way in the 1985 Chicago Marathon.
An unassuming specimen who was/is/and still underrated.
