Well damn, maybe we can stop making fun of canadiens now. Shooting an ISIS fighter from 2 miles away is very impressive. I wonder what damage this guy and Chris Kyle could do together.

Shooting the troops you back? What in the hell are they doing with my tax dollars exactly?

And didn’t Kyle brag about killing American civilians?

Ron Paul on Kyle- “Live by the sword, die by the sword.”

I wasn’t going there with it. I was just saying what could both of them do together.

That is a great shot. The article talks about how he needed to hold perfectly still and pull the trigger just so. I wonder why we haven’t remove the human error factor from snipers. The gun can be on a robotic tripod that moves it with absolute precision, and the the removal of a mechanical trigger would eliminate the potential for jiggle. The sniper could wear a heads up display fed from cameras and stay in a covered area.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see such things shortly developed.

    Already has been done
The basic rather large, heavy, and cumbersome item is called an SFK (Sustained Fire Kit).
The more advanced gear is usually vehicle mounted and remote controlled.
At issue is the tactical, logistical, maintenance requirements, and manual labour required to sneak a rather large and obvious item into a remote area to “ambush” a target.

For some reason I get the impression that a lot of people think being a sniper, sharpshooter, or marksman is just a day at the local shooting range.

There was a time in my life when I gave a fuck. Now you have to pay ME for it
