The federal Conservatives have a new leader (Andy Scheer) who’s a social conservative. Scheer is just too far right for most tastes. But even as a hard right Conservative, Scheer has already declared that as a Prime Minister he would not attempt to reverse the legalization of marijuana. He’s accepted the reality that the country is now under the control of the pot heads. I’m afraid that we’re stuck with the Turd for quite a few more years…

In the recent race for the federal Conservative leadership, the Libertarian Maxime Bernier was the front runner who everyone thought had it in the bag. Bernier lost by a microscopic c~~~-hair to social Conservative Andrew Scheer. Bernier was the only guy that had a (slim) chance to beat Turdeau. Scheer is too far right for most Canadians. Canada is now f~~~ed until at least the 2023 federal election…

I consider myself right wing but my hopes were on Bernier. Like I said, a Libertarian like Bernier was our only hope of beating Turdeau and that was slim as it was.

Canada, as a country, is now lost. I’m just pinning my hopes on Alberta to swing back to the right in the next provincial election. That depends on the ratification vote for the unification of Alberta’s two right wing provincial parties (The Alberta PCs and the Wildrose).

If the unification agreement of these two parties is ratified by vote on 22 July, the current ruling NDPs will be turfed in the next provincial election just a little under two years from now…

Actually Calgary is full of non-Western immigrants. It was Calgary voters who big time helped the provincial NDP win.
