Basically the guy was tired of getting robbed all the time and perhaps more than little scared.

For those that don’t know, the whole cops and donut shop thing was b/c donut shops would offer the cops free coffee and donuts. Thus would be robbers would think twice.

F~~~ gun free zones. They only get people killed.

A cafe owner tired of being robbed put a sign in his window that says, “Guns Are Welcome on Our Premises.”
His hope is that the presence of armed citizens will dissuade would-be robbers from trying to rob the business.

As to those crying foul, I’m sure that there are plenty of gun free cafes for you to eat at, just don’t get butthurt when/if some nutjob decides to go after the easy target.

Good. As of yet, it’s irrelevant for me. As a trucker, it would be prohibitively difficult to carry a weapon in the truck.

About 3 years ago my State (same as the article) became what is known as a Constitutional Carry State.

What this means is, that if you are a citizen of my State you can conceal or open carry (on your hip like a cowboy) without a permit.

There are some exclusions but as long as you are not breaking federal law you are not breaking State Law.

When this happened all the lefties wigged out much like the two mentioned in the article. OMG it’s gonna be a blood bath etc.

Except it didn’t happen. Last year a neighbor State passed a similar law with the same left response. Except it hasn’t happen.

There are a handful of States where you can conceal or open carry legally without a permit. And except for the tusken (thx for that @blade) neighborhoods there is very little street crime.
Certainly not the mass stabbings that London is experiencing .

I welcome people to hunt down s~~~ and kill it on our property in VT. I told my well armed neighbors that I didn’t care what time of day or night they want to go hunting, just to keep the flashlights off the windows, no bullets through the house, and we can get along just fine!

I also told them I don’t what or who they’re hunting!

Oh I’m a machinery hauler. I have a 24″ steel winch bar. No firearms though. There’s no federal law stopping it, but the wide variety of local regulations essentially makes staying legal impossible, and would require the gun to be separated from the ammo in separate lockboxes, one outside the cab, pretty much all the time that it would even be legal to have one.

My state has been a CCL state for many years and a few years ago went to concealed carry without a license being required. I only heard a few people express their nonsensical concern as I live in a very red state. Always has been and always will be.

Nearly everyone I know carries a gun. However, there are one or two people who actually get offended if I even mention anything about guns. I can’t stand the dumbasses who get a s~~~ty attitude over nothing.

This is the right way to do things. F~~~ the police. Arm the citizens and let them deal with criminals themselves. I’m not talking about anarchy, just armed citizens enforcing laws already on the books that the cops are too late and too lazy to deal with (being, as it were, too busy arresting men for hurting women’s feelings).

If I were a robber, I’d be much more afraid of a lynch mob than the cops.

Yes. I wish it could be more like what was portrayed in the movie, “Open Range”. Eventually everybody got fed up with the bad guys and took the law into their own hands. The law seems to hurt more good citizens these days. Handing out speeding tickets is mostly all they’re good for.

Have to remember if I ever make it to Witchita, Kansas I need to stop in and eat at the Riverside Cafe.
Would think a small population state like Kansas would not have that kind of crime rate. Scanning through the news, looks like some problem with illegal immigrants children. Illegals taking some low skill jobs could put pressure on locals to go to crime.
