i am not sure how many of you have read him, but bukowski, reminds me of somethings i read here… he was a bit of a pick up artist from time to time, but reading him is a good “red pill experience” in my opinion… what do you folks think of him?

    alone with everybody
    -bukowski

    the flesh covers the bone
    and they put a mind
    in there and
    sometimes a soul,
    and the women break
    vases against the walls
    and the men drink too
    much
    and nobody finds the
    one
    but keep
    looking
    crawling in and out
    of beds.
    flesh covers
    the bone and the
    flesh searches
    for more than
    flesh.

    there’s no chance
    at all:
    we are all trapped
    by a singular
    fate.

    nobody ever finds
    the one.

    the city dumps fill
    the junkyards fill
    the madhouses fill
    the hospitals fill
    the graveyards fill

    nothing else
    fills.

    shoes
    -bukowski

    when you’re young
    a pair of
    female
    high-heeled shoes
    just sitting
    alone
    in the closet
    can fire your
    bones;
    when you’re old
    it’s just
    a pair of shoes
    without
    anybody
    in them
    and
    just as
    well.

    melancholia
    -bukowski

    the history of melancholia
    includes all of us.

me, I writhe in dirty sheets
    while staring at blue walls
    and nothing.

I have gotten so used to melancholia
    that
I greet it like an old
    friend.

I will now do 15 minutes of grieving
    for the lost redhead,
    I tell the gods.

I do it and feel quite bad
    quite sad,
    then I rise
    CLEANSED
    even though nothing
    is solved.

that’s what I get for kicking
    religion in the ass.

I should have kicked the redhead
    in the ass
where her brains and her bread and
    butter are
    at …

    but, no, I’ve felt sad
    about everything:
the lost redhead was just another
    smash in a lifelong
    loss …

I listen to drums on the radio now
    and grin.
there is something wrong with me
    besides
    melancholia.

I like the first one, ugly simplicity. Not a word too much, to paint surreal pictures and tell a story.
Melancholia is too fine for me, do not understand.

I would not say they are MGTOW material, but are wise on a broader sense than mgtow.
Like the words from an elder, wise man who has seen life, and its ugliness too.

i see what you mean… he wasn’t someone i think of as embracing the same mindset, but i believe he struggled with the same issues… he seemed to vacillate between blue pill desire and red pill realism… he almost enjoyed wallowing in his failure to join the two… my reasoning behind saying he is a good red pill experience is that he highlights the trouble with seeing the world as it is and refusing to adapt a strategy beyond alcoholism…

Bukowski certainly has some very excellent & legendary quotable passages for all time.

One that springs to mind . . .
    /poster/charles-bukowski/

That will kick start a few thoughts while waiting at the next red light on your way to work.

He is one of my favorite poets. His poem ‘It is Your Life’ was paramount inspiration for me in my MGTOW journey. I looked at the video every day before work for months to remind myself not to ‘Swim in Same slough”. I didn’t want to go back to thinking I needed a woman or valuing myself by my relationships with them. It help me immensely in reprogramming myself to become sovereign.
