Happy Saturday, gents. I want to start a discussion about “buffers,” a concept coined by Rollo Tomassi of The Rational Male:

    Buffers

A “buffer” is a mental filter that a man applies to himself to comfort himself from rejection. E.g. “she’s out of my league.”

Of course, I don’t agree with everything in the blog post (e.g., he says “Rejection, real, raw, in your face rejection stings like a bitch,” to which I agree with Keymaster when he says rejection can’t mean anything to a man). But the concept of buffers is interesting, because I think we men apply them not just with women, but with a lot of things that could involve rejection or not getting what you ideally wanted e.g., “I’m not qualified for this job, I might as well not apply,” “I don’t have anything to offer, I’ll look like an idiot if I ask for a raise,” etc.

Though, it’s important to define what’s the difference between a “buffer” and just plain good thinking. For example, I’d say one’s refusal to go skydiving because people die would be a buffer, since your chance of dying when going skydiving is not only incredibly small, most skydiving accidents happen not to first-timers but to seasoned skydiving veterans who are trying more dangerous things. But I would not call a refusal to have sex without a condom a buffer, even though ideally you might not want to use one, simply because the chances are too great, and the dangers so high, involved with not using one.

Though, if you gentleman will allow me to touch on a controversial issue, I would go so far as to say that MGTOW monks who don’t interact with women are employing a buffer; they say they don’t because there are too many risks involved like false rape accusations. But though the stories you read on the internet of false rape accusations are numerous and disturbing, I do believe that your chances of getting a false rape accusation—and said false rape accusation ruining your life—truly are too small to worry about.

Holy s~~~, I haven’t seen a case of f~~~~~ bigger than this guy for awhile. That is some serious pussy begging. He’s at graduate level pussy worship dissertation level now. The guy has been working on his thesis for 5+ years now and keeps going.

Even Mystery and Strauss and D’Angelou and the rest of the pussy beggars usually tend to finally land a woman that will have sex with them after 5 years of desperately chasing. And this guy still hasn’t managed to get laid?

I don’t know why anyone pays attention to these guys.

I use the “I’ve been chasing pussy for 21 years and I’ve finally realized that it’s not worth it unless it falls in my lap with little to no effort” buffer.

Very good MGTOW attitude. MGTOW don’t bother justifying themselves, since we know that we owe no one an explanation.
