I was once a Boy Scout, unfortunately the scout leader I was assigned to was a complete idiot. He did not do anything right. He did not plan ahead and I had a lot of horrifically bad experiences my life due to his foolishness. (He did not do anything to harm me, but his actions lead to a lot of bad times for me.)

Ironically, my Cub Scout leader was a woman and she was wonderful at her job. She made sure the members of her troop learned as much a we could.

Scout Master said, sure a girl can join the Troop BUT her mother must accompany her at all times.
