Men are at a time when panning for gold in a urinal has a higher probability of success than finding a faithful and loving woman, it is time to go your own way.....
I don’t know how you can get immersed reading an Ebook
I used to read a lot when I was a kid. But with the f~~~ing internet I got too lazy to read actual books. But I discovered audiobooks which I absolutely love. I was trucking over-the-road for 6 month, and I would probably lose my mind if it wasn’t for audiobooks. I downloaded 50 best sci-fi novels and listened to them all. This was a blast.
proud carrier of the 'why?' chromosome
Ebooks won’t mean squat when the devices they are on are fried by an EMP.
Nothing beats the comfort of paper versions anyway.
It’d just feel weird reading on some kind of tablet. It is a common failing of childhood to think that if one makes a hero out of a demon the demon will be satisfied.

Funny you say that. I listened to an audiobook ‘One second after’ and it was all about EMP attack on US. Audiobooks rule (especially while driving long winding roads).

I haven’t gotten back to finishing that one, I really need to.
– I am so glad to see people agree on the paper book front!
I love my books and do not ever want an e-reader. Plus, it has been proven you retain more info with it on paper, something to do with your fingers touching and the memory associating the feel to the information. Probably not explaining that right, but I read it ( in a newspaper, therefore I actually remember doing so 😀 )
Also I really enjoy Audio books and Podcasts too. Love my podcasts.
Does any one else listen to Podcasts? If so what ones?
Read purely non fiction from good old Chomsky, Chris Hedges , and Derrick Jensen. Terence McKenna and lonely planet of whatever country I am visiting is mandatory.
Definitive mind openers and red pills by the pound!
Mana: used to listen to Joe Rogan podcasts now lately getting into Mark Passio..
Besides, with computerized books, you can’t mark the interesting bits with high-lighter. Of course, there was the blonde joke about a computer monitor that had white-out all over the screen because the secretary used it to make corrections.
I like both, but it’s hard to read on tablets/e-readers sometimes just because there’s the internet right there…

Anonymous18I like laying down and reading. Sometimes tablet comes in handy esp at night time when I don’t want to keep any lights on.
I went to a b’day party last year. The kid got a book as a gift. Instead of opening the book, he started swiping on to the front cover. smh.
“he started swiping on the front cover”
Oh good Lord…
Plus the fact that with books you know what you read is what was written by the author. An electronic copy of documents, books, etc., can be altered without anyone knowing about it.
