Greetings Brothers–
I’ve noticed that some of the guys on here have been starting to connect with each other IRL. As the situation in this country deteriorates, I’m sensing the need to pursue this myself.
I live in New England in a very decidedly BLUE part of the country. I am a member of the BPO Elks and our lodge marched in our Mem Day Parade yesterday. Although I had the honor of carrying the American Flag at the head of our group, it was pretty pathetic! There were only about 8 of us out of a lodge with over 100 active members. The Elks are supposedly known for their patriotism and support of our military and vets.
To make matters worse, there are libtards that have infiltrated our ranks and are getting elected to office. Our lodge secretary is a card carrying feminazi and Rachel Maddow fan!
Eventually, I want to move to a red state, but I’d have to start my own business. No company is going to hire me for what I’m worth. I’m 50 years old and work in IT. I currently work with my cousin, but that’s the only thing keeping me here right now. However, for now, I just want to find out if there’s any other guys on here that live in my neck of the woods that have a case of Blue State Blues as well.
Or maybe I just need to stay put. The Blue States ESPECIALLY need some kind of counter influence. Or maybe they’re just too far gone…
Thanks brahs.

Anonymous43New England is too far gone.
Either hit the silk, or ride it into the ground…the sooner the producers leave the blue states, the faster it will crash and burn.
The tough part about moving to a red state is, the blue states have all the population and most of the large companies. You would be competing hard for fewer jobs in a red state, I think.
What part of New England? I was raised in Rhode Island myself. Living in Florida now. I’ve had numerous accounts given to me from relatives still up there how badly the blue team has fked that state up. Millions of people have left, billions in business revenue, businesses have left the state. It’s a mess up there. The state is being run by a woman who has fked it up to s~~~. She spent 6 figures on a new RI marketing campaign that blew up in her face, and last I heard, they were turning some roads into toll roads to generate revenue. What a joke.
Yeah, that’s kind of my thinking at this point. Just don’t have any connections in red states. Although my former pastor is from Austin, and he offered to help me look into moving there. That’s a pretty good place for a techie, though I understand that area isn’t much better than where I am now.
I’m thinking Dallas/Houston or the Carolinas, particularly Research Triangle. Virginia Beach is another possibility. I’m open to suggestions…

Maybe it’s time that YOU walk away from the Elks ??
Apparently, this organization has changed, and so have you.
Blue State, Red State, It doesn’t really matter because they’re both part of the same Matrix.
It’s not geography that matters as much as YOUR state of Mind.
The more that you begin to assimilate the RED Pill, the easier it is to treat much of the “outside” world with indifference.

I live in the New Haven area. Yale has totally f~~~ed everything up around here. CT has declared itself as a sanctuary STATE. Our gov is a total Bolshevik crook and now wants to implement a mileage tax on cars. Fuuuuuuck that. Bad enough our smartphones track our every move as it is.
I’d move tomorrow if I had somewhere to go until I could get on my feet. I’m working for a cousin right now and the pay is decent and the business is growing, but I’ve always felt I could do better if I could just find the right lead. I need to get outta here.
What part of FL are you from? How’s the tech scene down there?

Understood. Which is why I haven’t left yet. Not sure if a geographical cure is the best solution anyway. I’m comfortable enough right now and am able to take care of myself, but if things take a decided turn for the worst (i.e. civil war), I wanna be in a red zone.
OTOH, If I “hit the silk” now with no leads, no clear objectives in mind, I stand to end up much worse. At this point I’m trying to come up with a strategy, but I need to figure out what I’m doing. Hence, the motivation behind my OP.

I live in Tampa. Some people like it, some don’t. Same as any place. Heat is a pain in the ass, but I don’t have to shovel snow anymore, and frankly, the girls down here are as equally pretentious as they are everywhere else. There’s just more hot ones down here for the pump and dump vs being up north, what with all the colleges down in Florida.
Couldn’t really tell you what the tech scene is like. All I can say is, try to look online and see if something interests you. Cost of living is lower down here, but so is the average wage. But on the flip side, we don’t pay 15 different taxes like in places like NY. You get to keep a little more of your money.
But we get hurricanes, and black widow spiders, and snakes, and brown recluse spiders and enough s~~~ can kill you. But you get most of that stuff in southern states overall anyways. Tampa as a major city IS growing though, and has a lot of entertainment stuff to offer (not like Orlando though, but Orlando costs more).
More sympathetic I can’t be. I joined the American legion for the same reason and found that it is just a drinking club for guys who have been members for umpteen years—newcomers not welcome and conservatives not welcome either…due to the anti-war Vietnam guys. They don’t care to be around us “kill a commie for mommie” types. And the newer guys fresh out of Afghanistan or Iraq really don’t want to associate with anyone who doesn’t share that experience. Fine I get it. I only show up for the $2 draft.
Anyway Just remember that Florida and Texas have the lowest unemployment and highest rate of job growth in the country. May 7 2020 found a job here reasonably fast—not a great job but a job, so he has his foot in the door and part of the point of the MGTOW networking we are beginning is for the purpose of helping each other out by having eyes/ears on the ground in a given area.
Ever since I found out May 7 was a teacher and looking for a teaching job I’ve been on the lookout for him and passing the word to some guys I know—maybe it will pay off maybe not but we have to try.
Addendum: IRUleme is right is some respects BUT South Florida is very different from North Florida. South Florida is filled with libtard yankees that have escaped the high taxes of the Northeast only to come here and bring their idiotic politics with them.
So if you DO come to Florida you really shouldn’t go further south than about Ocala. Or you will just be in a warmer version of conn/mass/jersey.

meh.. I lived in Jacksonville for a year and half. I prefer Tampa over Jacksonville. There’s also more to do here. Miami on the other hand is a haven for Democrats, despite the large Republican Cuban base.

Thanks Pete. Appreciate the support. Sometimes I just feel isolated, but I understand that’s the price of Red Pill Life®. Fortunately my cousin that I work with just got a giant red pill of his own (divorce) and that’s the only thing that makes it tolerable around here.
If I move, I’m going to want to start my own tech support business. I would need a landing spot for about 1-2 years to get my feet under, get living arrangements squared away and some income stream going ASAP. Then to figure out the local laws regarding self-employment and setting up a DBA or LLC and developing a client base.
It would have to be a city like Jaxville or Tampa. Not sure a tech support business would be viable in the sticks. A friend offered to get me a job in Miami but my high school Spanish sucks. Actually the Cubanos are pretty cool…the couple I’ve met are stand-up guys. Also know that Daytona/Palm Beach are pretty much no-go as well. I heard Gulf coast is the place to be as far as FL goes.
Thanks again guys. Always a pleasure.
