A blue Angel has crashed and perished in a practice crash today. I went and saw them as a kid. There had been a practice crash earlyer that day. There is huge risk in performing at that level. I absolutly admire thoses guys.Sad day in Tennessee.

Those guys blindly follow the lead man and only focus on him and not the world spinning around them, when the lead man makes a mistake the whole group burns the lawn.

I remember seeing them once back in the 70s as a kid when they were flying the A-4 Skyhawks.

After the show, they’d hang out and meet the kids back then. The one whose autograph I got perished in a crash a few months later.

They had one go down at Beaufort, SC Marine Corp Airstation about ten years ago during a live show. It’s always tragic, but those guys always push it to the edge.
