Finally bought some. Not having high hopes or thinking it will make me rich, but I’m thinking further diversification of my portfolio can’t be a bad thing.

Exactly, this is my attitude too. A fellow mgtow brother of mine who i’m lucky enough to know offline is into his trading.

I tried it many years ago and got burnt but there is a video series with some vids that are free on Youtube called Real Vision Tv. As usual the opinons of these hedge fund managers differ but it is interesting to see how the top guys think. I just watch the youtube vids as i don’t trade as such, so can’t justify the subscription.

For me i don’t want to keep all my money in the bank (just in case!), so a little precious metals and bitcoin, real estate and maybe a little business is what i’m thinking.

GOLD is the money of KINGS, CENTRAL BANKS, AND NATION-STATES

    BITCOIN IS BETTER GOLD

I’m accumulating these units as fast as possible.

Once my hoard is worth enough to last me 10 years… I plan on retiring

    Capital goes where Capital is.

Bitcoin represents Capital in it’s highest evolution. It’s money-par-excellence.

Don’t be fooled by altcoins. They are all going to zero, including Ethereum.

Bitcoin is the only money that matters.

Bitcoin has 250,000X as much security as the second biggest chain.

The nature of proof-of-work (the consensus algorithm) is that it’s winner take all.

Network Effects for money are extremely powerful. It’s all about first mover advantage and no other coin will displace it at this point.

According to you guys this bitcoin thing sounds like it pays better than having a job. Still, $518 on one bitcoin that just like the stock market could go either way, is still too risky for me.

By the way, where do you buy these bitcoins; a website perhaps? Just in case.

It’s volatile. Some days I will make $2-5000 in a day. Sometimes I lose thousands in a day.

If I have time to sit at my computer I can actually make money both ways. Volatility is nice for traders.

Over time the volatility is decreasing. I hedge myself by having more stable assets.

Gold/Silver/Cash is the best for general liquidity for when that rainy day comes.

Rental property/dividend stocks are best for steady cash flow.

Bitcoin is a great asset to just buy and hold. It’s been around 6 years so far and there has only been 6 months in which it was not a good time to buy. If you purchased any other time you did quite well.

There are a few risk scenarios to think about but to those that follow bitcoin religiously like me- it’s actually not as risky as most people think.

If you don’t have time to really dive in and learn about this new asset class, keep it small. The more information you have the less risky it is.

The potential is so big that really 1-10 Bitcoin is enough to join the new financial elite.

10 Bitcoin = $5000 – which is really not a big deal. Enough to get some exposure but not enough to have any significant downside.

It gets really exciting when the price rises some days. The volatility doesn’t really bother me as long as it’s going in the right direction.

Don’t listen to the people who think it’s a government/CIA thing… I thought that at first too but then I realized this is open source software that has been audited by millions of people.

Anyone who thinks this is government-created must be either retarded or blinded by fear. 1 or 2 hours of research can easily debunk that….

Anyone who doesn’t own at least 1 of these units is probably making a huge mistake but eh… more for me.

The way I look at it is:

All money is is a collective delusion.

Fiat money is a collective delusion. Durr the gubberment makes it…

Gold and Silver is a collective delusion. Durr it’s shiny…

Bitcoin is a collective delusion. Durr it’s scarce and incredibly useful…

All in all, Bitcoin is simply the best delusion the world has ever seen.

No one seems to be answering my question. Where do you get these bitcoins, just in case if I were to decide to invest?

@residentevil7 I would avoid buying bitcoins unless you can afford large $$$ on mining rigs that generate you free coins (minus electricity costs which can be huge). Bitcoin is a huge gamble right now as no country really knows about it much but you can be rest assured the bean counters in government are going to find a way to tax it. When that happens bitcoins will lose value drastically and as that happens people with large stashes of coins will start to sell fast which will bring down prices even more. In my opinion as a stock trader bitcoins are a foolish investment.

I should listen to you more often, because you sound like you know money and fiscal security.
