I can’t tell you how many times I’ve told my ex’s that make-up causes breakouts. Then they turn around and blame men for forcing them to wear it.

One could not figure out why her acne breakouts were so bad. I told her to wash her face with an antibacterial face wash to get the make up off her face before she went to sleep. Any dermatoligist will suggest this. She never did it though, and the pillow case would be stained with cover-up, and the acne never stopped.
