Anonymous42Many thanks bro! I mixed it up, shook it up, and it emulsified air, oil, and acetone in a pink concoction that almost looked radioactive!
Anyway, I used it on a load sensor bleeder screw that was nothing more than a rust barnacle! The broken springs made the truck ride lower and apply more pressure to the rear brakes, but lucky for me the vent on the rear differential was clogged shut with rust causing the heat expansion to force the gear lube out the wheel seals and all over the brake shoes!
Anyway, again, Thank-you Autolite, that trick is going on the top shelf of my bag of tricks! I’m lucky the missing section of spring didn’t take out my rear tire!
I removed it by clamping on ViceGrips and tapping it steadily open and shut with a very small sledge hammer. Normally it would require complete removal and torches if your lucky and don’t destroy it in the process. I used Dextron II AFT.
Did you know that Acetylene is compresses into an acetone membrane inside the cylinder? It’s so unstable that without the Acetone to absorb it under pressure it will explode! You don’t want to crush a tank it could and most likely will form voids in the membrane and explode!
P.S. China Ka BOOM!
That second clip was amazing . The hight one of those bottles got was like a rocket .

Anonymous42Check out the China EXPLOSION I posted above P.S. but here it is anyway;

Thanks for sharing Tower, especially the second video. If only we could replicate this type of fireworks on July 4th!

Very interesting! I did not know that.
I’m glad that the concoction worked but I can’t take the credit. It was just something that I found on-line…
That shocwave from that rocket took a bit .
Always makes me laugh when sand people get excited when s~~~ blows up and they scream Allah .

I’m sure something can be done using your local 3 million gallon CNG storage tank and something to tear it wide open!

Thanks for those videos! They were a real eye opener! I guess I should move my acetylene bottles a little father away from my wood stove… 😀

Anonymous42This is why I will not put air in an outdated tire, they only last about 7 years before the signs of dryrot start appearing. I always inspect then hide away from the sidewall reaching in arm fully extended and looking the other way.
I watched a video I can’t find that shows a loader tire that exploded from a guy that welded the rim, filled the tire with hot fumes then added air increasing pressure and temperature enough for the rubber fumes to ignite and explode causing a big rubber flap that took off his head at supersonic speed. Like a diesel engine igniting from compression but contained in 2 inch thick rubber.
How many women are killed by exploding tires? Not including the women that drive on near flat tires on the freeway!
Tower, do you happen to know the backstory of that first massive explosion near the two buildings?
