Came upon this mechanical marvel earlier today and wanted to share it around the forums. As a grease-monkey myself I found it impressive that science developed an alternative to one of the most central components of the bike – the chain! Thoughts?

    Check it out!

That makes me think back to the motorized bicycle my old man and I put together when I younger; we slapped a 60cc or so two-stroke engine on a bicycle frame with some 100$ kit he found online. You could easily pull 20mph on it and I used it for a 9 mile commute to school and back every day for a little while. It was a great way to learn how to use a clutch before I got my first motorcycle.

    Ingenuity is awesome.

They got around the chain by moveing the pedals to the back wheel.

    Is it cramped, balanded well,
Short wheel base make for to much steering imput?

Amazing. If your butt is over the back wheel though, how does that affect center of gravity? Does it require more work to propel?

The cranks are too far back. Long term use of this bike will f~~~ up your knees. It also won’t let you really bear down, especially on hills, because the rear wheel is too far forward.

You’d be better off in the long run taking the frame and front wheel completely off and using it as a unicycle.
