This is what the other member sees when HE is logged in and looking at your profile. He can NOT start a PM with you.

This is what YOU see when YOU are logged in and looking at HIS profile. Because you’re a Ghost member you CAN start a PM with him.

So if you started a Private Message with him and he sent you his phone number and email… how is that a problem? He’s just being friendly. He actually sent you his contact information first.

So I trust this alleviates your concerns!

I can also confirm you can start a PM with many members in this thread (for example) but not GALT members like RedPillBible and not me either. SO thats something we need to look into possibly changing.

Basically, we set it up like this
ADMIN can PM anyone first.
GALT can message GHOST or MEMBER first.
GHOST can message a MEMBER first.
MEMBER canot message anyone first, but they can read and reply for quick exchanges.

I haven’t logged in as a GALT to try and PM you, but there is more to look into on that. Otherwise things are AOK.

I know it defeats the whole ‘private’ part but I was part of a wp website before and the admins had a rule : “No bullying/harrassing through pm… we monitor EVERYTHING!”

Believe it or not, I am too and RARELY imagine the worst. No bulls~~~. When I am in a shady part of town (for example) and think I might get mugged…I whistle, sing or talk out loud . Even the biggest, scariest nutbar wouldn’t want to f~~~ with me.

I was not in Nam. My brother did two tours. He’s 7 years older than I am and went to college. I joined the Navy in ’74…got out in ’80. Re-read my intro! And I won’t ask for anyone’s number. I get confused between the internet people I meet and the people I meet in person everyday. Swapping numbers with them is no big deal.
