Being forced to deal with emotionally immature adults is so tiring.

Such children in adult bodies are only looking to create problems for you. They no only dismiss any solutions you have for these problems. That is if they let you speak. But, they are condensing towards you suggested solutions.

And the worst part of all is they project their immaturity on you and treat you like a child in the most cruel and disrespectful ways possible to shut you up. Because they know that you know that if you continue the discussion doing so will lead to an argument and possible violence with you on the losing in because it is your word against their word plus the word of THEIR friends.

All you are left is the problems these petty adults create and dark thoughts towards such selfish adults.

If I could I would leave these fools in a new york minute. But due to circumstances way out of my control the only way I am leaving is feet first.

The incessant dealings with perpetually-immature adults is akin to interacting with IQ leeches – feels like they’re sucking the intelligence out of me (don’t know if they’re absorbing it or just passing it through the other end).

Attempting to beat them to death with their own stupidity is increasingly-difficult since they seem to represent a larger segment of the population that operate based primarily on emotions; common sense is sent to the background, if it’s even present at all.

Sadly, today’s society tends to give more credence to the loudest voices, not the most rational. I try to ignore them when I can as the effort I would have to expend interacting with them is not worth my time or energy.

Perhaps some of these folks are just examples that God has a sense of humor – yet they can still procreate and influence others…not funny.

What I can’t understand is why do I as a young mature male have to deal with immaturity and make the same amount of money and not be considered for raises/promotions.

Can’t tell you how often at least half the staff at any place I work at is either lazy or idiots. I get that they’re more social, but they’re more social because they don’t do s~~~.

I’m 23 with 10 years work experience I should be getting better positions that what I get for a job application.

I can truly empathize with on this. I sometimes feel like I deal with individuals who are childish and always gossip. While I am appreciative of the job as well as pay, I just can’t wait to clock out and get home to peace and quiet.

Yep. Ignoring is the best way to go, at least for me. I had this friend, a girl (surprise surprise) who always has petty problems and everytime I tried to give her practical solution, she got mad at me or making me responsible for the solution I gave if it doesn’t work out. So, last time she did that, I just said ‘okay’, and she was furious. She said I’m inconsiderate etc etc. To that I responded ‘do whatever you like’. THIS WORKS. She never try to tell me anything anymore and we became ‘surface friends’. Oh so much freedom

I remember a coworker complained because I put my Glock on the floor and put a tshirt over it at work. I was working at a gas station and had the safe open during the day. I was like, “if a crackhead comes behind this counter and tries to rob us, you’ll be happy”. She told the manager, and he didn’t give a s~~~ since I had done a tour overseas and had my permit. Was basically like it’s a constitutional right, f~~~ off.

She of course was a feminist and regularly spewed her bulls~~~. We had access to the music system there and I’d usually play black metal over it when I was working. Was a crap wage slave job, but honestly, I’ve done worse.

Promotions are rarely if ever about performance. It’s not the most intelligent, most experienced that gets the job it’s the one who will fit in with the team best.

Pathetic I know but that is how it is and you can bet your bottom dollar 9/10 times the team will be pathetic, mediocre or incompetent back stabbing Biatches and Manginas.

I hear you loud and clear Mr. Science,
I hope, very strongly, for a better solution than “feet first” for you!! Growing weary of dealing with the social construct of the workplace myself. Despite having integrity, passion for a job well done, and constantly improving. Keeping to myself, gains unwarranted ridicule for whatever bulls~~~ reason. Ignoring the problem didn’t help much.

I got away from people entirely. I drive a tractor trailer locally now, and it has been nothing short of a blessing. When I go back to the shop throughout the day.. nothing but guys to deal with. We are a savory bunch, but we all know our jobs, and that is the focus.

This is the worst!! It makes me feel dumb. Trying to explain something to someone, and not being able to get your point across. As if I could be going about it the wrong way. Frustrating sometimes.

Whenever I judge elections at the polls, I deal with women who never shut up. The guys (the few there are) work while the women work less and socialize more with other women. Frankly I don’t want to hear about your life story to other strangers. I had 250 more voters than the women sitting next to me, because she spend time talking every boring topic about herself whenever a female voter came. They don’t talk with male voters and I don’t talk hardly at all. Seriously women, shut up and work as long as you’re constantly demanding equal pay which you get when you judge elections!
