Been Through It All… Monk Mode Initiated

Hello brothers,

35/m here and MGTOW for all of the reasons most initially avoid unfortunately. If you are young and considering marriage and children at all, please read…. I’ll keep it short.

At 25 I met what I thought was an incredible little rockabilly punk rock chick, right up my alley in terms of preference. We were together for 2 years sharing a house with one of her friends and had separate bedrooms, however we were intimate. She became pregnant accidentally (at least I think, who knows) and when she told me I immediately told her we were not ready due to our youth and lack of money, and an abortion was our best option. She obviously disagreed (now that I see what her intention was), and naturally things became very sour. I tried everything, including working two jobs to appease both her and the medical billing squad.

Fast forward 2 years and the dreaded child support payments start deducting from my checks. $500 per month and I was making only $15 hourly at the time. Rendered me broke. I had no choice but to live in my car, showering/dressing at the gym and eating uncooked canned grocery foods with the occasional restaurant to return me to some form of sanity.

Alas! I have broken through. Do I still pay child support? Yes. However it is the same amount and I have fought tooth and nail landing a better job that pays me more than I’ve ever made. I now have my own apartment in Florida right near the beach, a newer car, and I have been so busy with my fitness that I will be running my first full marathon Jan 7th at Disney. I’ve also taken an interest in woodworking, primarily building furniture out of old used pallets.

TL;DR – No matter what life throws at you, even if you throw it at yourself, you can bounce back. YOU WILL BOUNCE BACK.

Appreciate your excellent introduction.

We share a lot in common.

Me and some of my pals at work were in the same situation as you after our divorces. The government took a third of our income, and then Child support took another third. We could not afford to live by ourselves after everyone took their cut.

And when I got divorced I had nothing but debt.

Later on, after I got custody of my son, things got much better. Within a decade after that, I had my mortgage and all other debts paid off. Eventually, I even managed to accumulate some nice things as well as some savings along with pension funds.

Alas, I underestimated the power of Women’s Nature and required more Red Pills after my divorce. Back then, I thought I was just unlucky by choosing a bad woman and foolishly believed NAWALT. I was unwilling/ unable to go MGTOW Monk which was a big mistake.

Even if I could travel back in time, I’m not sure what I would tell my 40 year old self that would have any meaning to him.

Yes, I could warn him about that self-proclaimed “Soul Mate” who tried to extort $50,000 by making false police charges.

But, understanding that the time I spent with women was really a waste of MY time, is something that happened spiritually as I progressed down the MGTOW road.

I was never fully free until I was no longer in any RelationS~~~S.

Besides the increased material wealth that happened when I was free of the influences of women, my real wealth obtained as a truly free men has to do with being able to do whatever I want which is never boring.

The Serenity obtained from being free of Narcissists has enabled me to enjoy the things in life that cost nothing like peace and tranquility. And my personal projects are awesome.

Anyway, it is good to read that you are on the MGTOW road.

The funny thing about all of this, and perhaps the most confusing is: I do believe that MGTOW is system driven, not women driven. However, women understand the system and take advantage instead of trying to rectify the system, while at the same time calling for equality. It’s literally evil genius, although I really don’t want to credit women with that level of intellect.

Great post & thank you. A story like yours needs to b told & I am very glad you did.
I come from a similar story, but underwent a life changing event that put me on the MGTOW road around the age of 40.
Quite a bit older now, but loving the peaceful tranquility that comes by living free of emotional commitment or cohabitation.
It all boils down to: I come & go as I please.

I look at it like this; The system is set up to pacify men and empower women, as women are easier to lead, so give them the lead in society and point them where you want to go via nonstop propaganda from all angles. System driven indeed, women are just predicable creatures and are used by those who wish to influence and direct it. Women do not examine all of this, it is working in their favor, so why would they? They don’t examine much in the first place really, and are quick to hop onboard anything if it benefits them. And when you are working to socially engineer society this is exactly what you want.

The blowback however is us.
