Becoming an Admin

How would I go about becoming an admin for the site? What are the requirements? If I wanted to contribute in helping to renovate or add new features to the website as a budding web developer, how would I do so and what do I need to know?

We’re not yet in a position to “hire” (per se) but I have something in mind coming up. It may blow your hair back as a project. We have 2 major launches/improvements and up to my neck in other deadlines, but I will get back to you on it. For sure by Saturday. Tomorrow I’m swamped.
