This apparent trolling of the Texas governor just epitomizes to me how out of whacking the government, media, and people are.

Smith is absolutely right. Any transgender rule on bathrooms is utterly nonsense because it’s completely unenforceable. However, that means both sides of the argument are dumb because there really is little point in take a side in the argument. It’s going to change nothing.

The reality is that a person’s gender is irrelevant when it comes to their ability to attack or invade privacy of another person in a public bathroom (or anywhere else, really). I am just as concerned about a gay man checking me out in the men’s room as I would be of a trans checking out a woman in woman’s restroom…or whatever. And by ‘just as concerned’, I mean, not really at all. The only time anyone is going to really is going to complain is when a woman sees a dick she doesn’t want to see, or just get’s looked at when she doesn’t want to get looked at.

The only laws I would support is either a building code requiring all new construction to provide a single person use bathroom…or updated bathroom conduct laws if needed.

The reality is that this has much less to do with individual transgressions, but using the government to push moral/social agendas. Both sides are guilty of that.

Conservatives have set themselves up on the opposing side here, part of the problem. A voice of reason is what’s required here, really what the government should always do. Instead, it’s used as a tool for morality, as it always is.

If I was constructing a new building, I’d have 3 restrooms: 1 for women, 1 for men, and a single use restroom for people with gender identity issues. That way, the gender benders can lock themselves in their own “safe space” and not worry about being harassed or invading someone else’s privacy.

That single use bathroom isn’t really just for the confused though. They work well for the Dad’s who have their young daughter with them, or need to change a diaper sort of thing.

I bet that the confused would still protest that approach though to be honest. I don’t think bathrooms are really the issue, they want to accepted as normal. Giving them a special bathroom doesn’t make them feel normal.

If you unisex the bathrooms then the entire issue is invalidated. The entire premise for the argument is because bathrooms are segregated.
