Nobody who entered a correct password had a problem. It was those who may have logged in UN-successfully who probably hit a “temporary block” (which can happen). So they tried to reset it… even some who were temp-blocked.

This happened in our/my testing.
I know what they were speaking about, now.

• Bad login typing in password wrong…..
• Maybe another bad login….
• Member thinks “Maybe I should reset”
• Click the reset link in the email…
• BAM!!! “You need to select a secure password”….
• Member thinks “OK fine”.
• New strong password doesn’t stick.
• Try again and go into an infinite loop.

This happened to me at least 50 times during testing. P~~~ed me off too. And WHY? Because there was a “force strong password” in TWO places – cancelling each other out.

What a pain in the ass.

The new site is mostly done and ready to go. It’s already tested.
CONTENT AND MENU CHANGES are the tedious/time consuming part.

For example, we have 210 single videos. Many of them are not resolving right now… and some of them have even been removed from youtube. We have done VIDEOS and CHANNELS all new – with a new youtube API integration. Each video and channel requires a few changes in the post metadata to connect with youtube. We have already done this OFF-SITE and I know what’s required.

We are also fully integrated with twitter. So the homepage will show recent tweets by #MGTOW EVERYWHERE. (this is extremely cool)

“Deadline”?

The beauty of mgtow.com is that it’s unlike our other commitments. It’s more of a labor of love than a “job”. Recently I can be called away for a serious fix – or a demand elsewhere – and there is little I can do about it. My helpers can only do so much too. Production is overseen by me and so juggling priorities has been a challenge. But the best part is, there is no clueless “Project Manager” running the show who tells us what NOT to work on.

“Do what you love” is for wimps.
“Do what needs to be done” is for men.

The new site is RE-frameworked with Bootstrap 4.1.1. This website is built on bootstrap 3.7. There are some BIG important differences, and all the code / markup is already rewritten. The framework is the main “scaffolding” on which the site is built. It was never built to my satisfaction … but this time around, it is.

Unfortunately, the convenient “broadcast notices” (in the lower right corner) will not go away when clicked, so we can’t use them just yet, but they are among the top 5 fixes which I hope will be resolved tomorrow. I have always appreciated KM’s low key and down to earth approach to things. Most members that were banned/deleted had it coming – Travis being the latest tool.

Personal life – everyone has one and life can make an individual shift priorities.

No ill will. Only setback I would say is the lack of communication but I assume mods/KM weren’t aware the exact nature of the login loop asking for a stronger password. It just seemed bizarre and some fool by the name of Mary Jane was spouting how they intentionally blocked members who post frequently.

It is a good day in mgtow history to be back here and posting.

Just spoke with Key Master on the phone because my new Strong passwords have not been working.
With my busy schedule this summer, I have only made a few attempts and therefore have been unable to login for over a month.

He was able to help me get logged into MGTOW.com

It is important to note that the password that worked is about 23 characters long.

The recommended number of characters for a Strong password is 16 which was not working.

It was a glitch. If a password worked for a member before being redirected to the wordpress’ create strong password page – then the same old password should work.

Yes, A big sincere thanks to KM for getting things back up and running. This has been my first successful login since the problem started. No ‘WordPress’ prompt anymore either.

To be honest, I really didn’t know what to think. Nothing anybody was saying was making any sense. I had initially thought the site was hacked and attacked.

To those of you who thought that we ‘bailed’ on KM that wasn’t the case. Most of us just couldn’t login and there was so little information or updates as to what was really going on it felt like we were being outcast.

Hey…C~~~Master….as your apprentice (IMickey503) claimed that I was requesting money refunded to my account…NO…I do not want it. YOU simply need to stop charging me per month (coming up on 3 months since initial cancellation) and you can put that money in your gas tank. Cease & Desist effective IMMEDIATELY.

Thank you for the well meaning gesture but you should have received email notifications about 3 + 1 month refunded retroactively. An official cancel email confirming you won’t be billed again will follow after all requests are honored – but you are already officially cancelled.

Along with “cancel” requests we’re adding ability for members to self-delete their accounts if they want to. it will be available on the new account page. (It won’t be reversable.)

As soon as the new account/setting page is sorted we’ll make it known.. and then sweep through any pending cancel requests and every one will receive confirmations. They will also be informed of the self-delete feature if they choose to do so.
