Damn it! I can’t enter this but just posting here for those of you who do qualify and have been looking for a reason to read “Atlas Shrugged” since the paperback has 1,088 pages and contains 645,000 words (it’s on Wiki’s longest books in history page). I have read the book myself at least 6 times, but this isn’t the kind of book you can speed-read. I like the fact that you’re given until October 23 to submit the essay as you’ll probably need a long time to finish the book and create an essay.  Anyway, I did not know where else to post this – good luck to anyone entering this. What made me laugh was the irony of them limiting you to only 1,600 words to convey your understanding of a book 403 times as long and packed with philosophical ideas. Even though the concept of ‘going Galt’ and MGTOW are different they are very similar: the first is about producers shrugging over the chains of economic moochers while the other is about men shrugging off the chains of mooching women – lol. MGGGTOW – that’s me – Men Going Galt & Going Their Own Way. And you can always read the Cliff Notes to see if this is something you want to read:

To enter, submit an essay of 800 – 1,600 words on one of three topics related to Ayn Rand’s novel, “Atlas Shrugged.” Essays will go through four rounds of judging to select the winners based on style, content, and how well the essay demonstrates a clear understanding of “Atlas Shrugged.” See rules for additional details and restrictions.
