If God decided to make raping babies moral and commanded it and you knew it was God (not the devil just pretending to be God) then the moral decision would be the rape of the infants as God is the one behind the moral. If raping babies was wrong regardless of what God says about it then it is not God behind your morals at all.

And when it comes to morals which moral system produces the least amount of suffering and the most amount of happiness and what moral system is based in justice? those moral systems are superior to other moral systems but there is no objective morality (even if God exists morality would be on his subjective whim).

Genocide and abortion are all of things God either permits or does not take too much caring about in the bible. Even if Atheism led to genocide the bible is clear on not being against it. The bible has shown that God has no problem with it.

Yes the bible is a load of bulls~~~ but the story has its place in mythology and our history (aka the story we have been telling at Christmas for at least a thousand years now).

Now if we wanted to remove s~~~ from Christmas it would be more logical to remove any Pagan reference (which Christians have tried to do) as that actually extends far longer back into our history). Europeans have been celebrating Christmas thousands of years before the supposed birth of Jesus.

Now, it think secularism is bad for society. Atheism is one part of that, but atheists are free to be so, and free to voice their beliefs. I see all these things as one big wrecking ball bound together, I’m old school Catholic traditionalist.

Feminists loathe Christianity, especially the patriarchal society supreme – the Catholic Church – so I see being faithful and going to mass this morning as keeping the fires of tradition alive.

But feminists get confused when it come to those lovable Islamic head choppers. Their hatred of their own home faith, which they have given up, and their love of everything non-European and nominally Christian, means they turn a blind eye to the only religion that actually threatens their cherished secular shibboleths. As soon as you can point me to an official atheist church or bible, maybe then your argument will have some merit. No one group has come together specifically with the sole purpose of killing others who are not atheist. It is not a doctrine or dogma or guideline or anything beyond a simple lack of belief in something that has no objective proof. Bible says lits of s~~~, Christians ignore nearly all of it most of the time.

There is a Christian group in my area that don’t ignore the Bible, they follow it to the letter.

They do not work for money and they live in voluntary poverty.

They do admit it is basically impossible to live a strict bible based life which makes every christian a hypocrite to varying degrees but mostly live nothing even close to biblical.

Interesting most Muslims are more devout and follow their beliefs much more devout than most Christians.

Christianity is rapidly being replaced by Islam.

Freedom from religion has always been a core tenant of my life. Very hard to come by and now here we seem to have a proliferation of threads dealing with an issue that I dealt with and dispensed with 40 plus years ago. I usually just skip over this type of thread but somehow clicked on it. My bad. Guess it was the stupid ass title. Sorry. I took a shot.

This place has been a great site for me to grow through some nasty ass changes and revelations and I will always be grateful for it, but the time has come when religion has to continue to rear it’s head and I am debating whether it is time for me to move on. Or we could all just agree to disagree and keep the fervor to a bare minimum. I will exchange my respect of anyone’s freedom of religion as long as my freedom FROM religion is equally respected.
