About time.
I am so fed up with commercials that centre around the “mother/woman” about everything. All it has done for me, is reduce what I buy and consume.
The way I see it is that advertisers have a target group they figure will buy their stuff, and pander to them. They totally ignore who really pays for this, and a complete demographic. Being part of that demographic, they just lose access to my buying power.

This is one of the major reasons I just stopped watching TV. I used to still watch sports, but I reached the breaking point on that too as every commercial is about being thirsty for alcohol and thirsty for women. That’s literally all American media and culture is about.

I rejected the programming. I can only watch streams that take out commercials now, I just hop in an hour or so late and then watch. NBC has the best stream for this, this is how I watched the Stanley Cup Finals.

I may watch RedZone for NFL as well as SNF. I’ll need a stream for RedZone most likely, but that’s not too hard to find. That is if I even want to watch it, I skipped all of the NFL last year except the SB, there’s a good chance I’ll do the same again this year. And it’s especially funny as I used to be one of the more hardcore NFL fans you could find, looking forward to it every year and then living my life Sunday to Sunday for many years.

I just have better things to do than to be assaulted with that low level garbage programming.

Incidentally, if you take education, media and the government out of the equation, women are actually very pleasant to be around. Too bad for all of that I suppose.
