Asshole Neighbor

On Friday around 1130 pm there was a knock on my front door. I wasn’t expecting anyone so I grabbed my pistol and looked out the front and back doors and windows and din’t see anyone. I have a CCTV system and after checking the camera’s, my neighbor was drunk, walked over to my front doorstep and proceeded to p~~~ on my front steps, knock on the door then run away.

I’ve never said or done anything to the neighbors except nod or wave.

A few months ago while I was on vacation, one of them (there’s a few dudes in their 20’s living at the house) drove his truck into my fence, taking out a section and two posts. I called the police and as you can expect, they didn’t do anything. I didn’t have video of the damage when I called the police the first time, but I’ve since found and saved the footage of him wrecking my fence.

However now that there have been two incidents, I’m wondering if it’s wise to go to the police and show them the video of my neighbor p~~~ing on my steps.

The neighbor’s are young, I’m sure into drugs and obviously drinking so they’re not exactly stable.

I don’t know if going to the police now would cause more problems in the future or not. I’d appreciate any advice you guys can give me.

I’m also planning on moving, due to the disrespectful neighbors on either side of me…so maybe I should wait to file the report once I move.

Go where there are no neighbors within line of sight.

Don’t do a damn thing, because the only thing that works in a situation like that is all out war and human suffering (broken f~~~ing bones), just move and hope an even bigger asshole moves in and makes THEM miserable.

Did you confront them over the damage to the fence? They should be paying for it.

They do sound unpredictable and people like this are always difficult to deal with, so maybe going via the police is your only option, but they often aren’t interested in civil matters as the case seems to be here.

I’m glad I live in an apartment for these very occasions. If I did own property/a home, it would be an indoor condo simply because of s~~~ like this.

Houses are only great if you live in the country out of sight from neighbors for reasons like these. You also have to deal with all kinds of people if the neighborhood ends up becoming poor as f~~~, which is another thing to think about.

Neighbors in general are just annoying as f~~~ to deal with.

Thanks for the advice guys. I’m downsizing and hoping to find a condo where I don’t have to worry about paying for the structure. If I had the means I’d buy land and a manufactured home and be done with it.

You could kindly tell them to control themselves, and when they don’t then take action. It might not be worth it to get involved with some police bulls~~~. I would avoid that, especially if you’re moving, f~~~ it. Unless they do some serious damage to your house, then go to the cops if you have evidence. I have asshole neighbors, and avoiding them can be great, if they get in your face, beat their ass into the pavement, then call the cops.

People in general are asshole. Less and less civility leads to it.

I’d take that pistol you had and one-time their asses. Face it, young people are usually complete and total assholes to begin with; it this generation of bad teenagers.

We don’t really get a lot of troubling neighbors here where I live. The biggest problem I had with anyone is teenagers playing ball in the street, making noises, hitting my car with the ball; all at 12 midnight, even in 20 degree weather. I reported it, and they never bothered me or my street again. I’m surprised, because teens like to do worse things after you tell them to stop it.

I’d play the footage on loop on a projector outside so all the neighbors can see. When they come over to complain calmly point the cameras you have and close the door.

If they double down you have cameras. If they realize how stupid they are being they might just apologize and stop.

I thought what I'd do was I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes...or should I?
