I understand. If change will come it wont be too much. People of any strata naturally revel to drastic change.

However, since Trump is a narcissistic businessman I think he would want to have a legacy of excellence in his new found position of authority.

With that said, the change wouldn’t be felt until about 10 years down the line.

You can’t expect him to come in with completely new people. That would guarantee he’d be opposed, and successfully, at every turn. He still has to deal with what’s there, and that amount of corruption does not get cleared out easily or immediately.

He’s treating it like any company takeover, leaving the old crew in place long enough to effect a smooth transition. A complete transition of staff all at once is all but guaranteed to fail.

But this will last only long enough to get things up and running with your own people. I hope to hear, “You’re fired!” coming a lot from the oval office in the next four years.

I can see from the one’s that left a comment that most believe he will bring change as soon as he can, and will not put up with any shenanigans or bulls~~~, brothers I sure hope your all right here….That would really be a game changer for our country…I see Putin has already been in contact with him, since that f~~~ up there in DC right is trying to push Putin into WWIII, Putin seems very happy with America’s choice in a new president, that alone brings a small sigh of relief…I will patiently sit, wait and watch, hell cannot do s~~~ nothing else about any of it anyways…I just hope he is the same man on the campaign trail as he is in the oval office…That alone would be enough to get some real change…But you are right on the fact it is going to take a significant amount of time, I mean hell, the arseholes have taken YEARS AND YEARS to trash this place, so it will probably take at least half as long to clean the f~~~ing mess up…It makes sense….

It turns out, that he’ll be able to bring quite a bit of change quite fast. Remember that reconciliation process the democrats used to ram through Obamacare? Well at is turns out this process can only be used while passing a budget, and a budget can be passed with a simple majority.

This year…the democrats didn’t even propose a budget, let alone pass one. Funny enough…a 2016 budget can be passed at the beginning of 2017. Republicans have a simple majority. They can effectively ram whatever they want through twice in Trump’s first year…once on a late 2016 budget, and once on a 2017 budget using the very same process the democrats used to ram through Obamacare. Hell…they can even repeal Obamacare with reconciliation if they want and the democrats can’t do anything about it.

On one hand I hope Trump at least tries to play nice with democrats if they aren’t going to be dicks to him right from the start(which is already looking highly doubtful), as it definitely put a sour taste in my mouth right from the start with Obama when he pretty much said “elections have consequences and we won,” or in other words f~~~ off republicans we don’t give a f~~~ about you. On the other hand though…boy would it be nice to watch Trump ram some stuff up the collective asses of liberals everywhere right from the start.

I think Trump will be better for the US instead of Hillary, no matter what. The big problem I see is what happens after Trump. I suspect the republican party will make any necessary changes to ensure only their cuck bitch gets the nomination as republican candidate. I don’t think it likely another billionaire is going to run with a nationalistic stance. Count on these crybaby Hillary supporters to be at your throat soon enough.

This is direct democracy. Only a handful of populous states would rule the entire country. Do you think a large enough portion of American citizens have the critical thinking skills necessary to ascertain the best solution to any complex issue, or would they vote based on emotion, ignorance, and personal financial gain? Would not voting be a criminal act? I don’t think a direct democracy is even feasible for the US.

I share your concerns, but no form of government-one that serves its people- is viable if the population is ignorant. I think we would be better served if we-instead of teaching about anal sex-took the schools back and returned to teaching about the form of government we currently have, so that the average citizen would know why the electoral college is important, and why we arrived at a Republic in the first place. Not everyone should vote. There should be a minimal voter competency demonstrated in order to vote. I doubt most people have much understanding of our government at this point in time. They don’t even know the history of their own country. I actually know people who have no idea who won the Civil War. This level of ignorance does not bode well for our future, regardless of government type.

I don’t believe the American people can maintain what is left of their Republic, let alone a direct democracy.

I hear you Orlando, and agree very much in what you are saying to some degree…Yes our populous is the dumbest it has ever been, but are you honestly believing this is some sort of accident??This was programmed into our culture YEARS ago, and they have been dumbing the populous down as much as they can each generation, and I agree that we cannot trust our future with the “average” citizen mentality, I was thinking of some very smart people when I was speaking, and not thinking of my last visit to the wal-mart, so my mistake…I don’t know what the answer is, and I am not sure anyone else even see’s that we are no longer free in any way shape or form…It literally eats me alive thinking about these thing’s, it just becomes a paradoxical infinite circle winding you back to the f~~~ing dumb…I don’t know, maybe this society I live in is so far gone that there really is no hope left, in which this is as fruitless and meaningless as p~~~ing into the wind…

I was thinking how badly Hillary managed her campaign, and it struck me that maybe it was supposed to work out this way. Using words like “deplorable” about your own citizens, and a myriad of other things she has said and done. I am thinking that Donald, being that head honcho he is, would like to have the presidency as the next “notch” in his belt, and simply paid for the presidency. Being the business-woman Hillary is, she probably would ask to play the fall-guy/gal for a price, say a billion or so… Well, I’m cynic, but those are my thoughts.

Nah. Whatever Trump could pay her is chump change compared to what she hoped to gain from controlling the Oval Office. See Hitlery is just the representative of a huge political machine, and no matter how rich Trump might be, he is not rich enough to pay off that machine. So he had to do his end-run around it.
