I suppose I understand the desire for the kid to be genetically your own, but this is nothing more than a biological instinct.

Regardless, the bottom line is that having a kid the regular way (so to speak) guarantees you zero paternal rights.

Not that I am familiar with the process but I imagine the process to adopt can be long and complex especially if you’re single and especially if you’re a male.

For any single men looking to have children via adoption, you could spend years in the application process to then potentially be denied or deemed not suitable. Adoption remains an option for those who want children, but I imagine it could be a difficult one

That’s actually true. I was thinking more about the ethical side of the question than the bureaucratic side. How ridiculous is it that the government makes it so difficult to do a good deed?

There’s an ethical point to consider in artificial wombs: they can reduce, very much, abortions.
Tradcons will, naturally, oppose artificial wombs, because, really, being tradcon isn’t a set of beliefs but a state of mind that oppose new things.
If tradcons would be really worried about the killing of babies through abortion then they would welcome artificial wombs as the lesser evil.

Funniest thing is that since being tradcon a state of mind, I suspect that if abortion will be kept legal for long enough, 3-4 generations, then tradcons will end supporting abortions and opposing artificial wombs 😀

Worth also noticing that if we’ll totally left reproduction with artificial means to women being mostly single women and by so mostly bitter hags, they’re going to significantly reduce the percentage of male offspring through sex selection.
Nothing so alarming, probably it’ll be 60% girls vs 40% boys (natural is 49% girls vs 51% boys) but it could even be an offspring of 75%-80% girls vs just only 25%-20% boys from such kind of reproduction.

There’s much more at stake here, much more than tradcon good feelings called “ethic”…
