Source: Jim Norton, IOL News. “How #MeToo is contributing to the death of the office romance”.
https://www.iol.co.za/lifestyle/love-sex/relationships/how-metoo-is-contributing-to-the-death-of-the-office-romance-29640604Main article is in the UK Daily Mail print edition.
For ‘death of the office romance’, read ‘dramatically reduced opportunities to fvck her way up the corporate ladder’.
Office romance? WTF?!?
I figured out thirty years ago that you never date someone from work. Now with the #METOO you’re telling me that there are one-in-ten who still haven’t clued-in???
The death of the office romance is a good thing. Nothing fucks a company more than romantic entanglements among the employees.
I fixed the problem years ago when I stopped employing women.
there are one-in-ten who still haven’t clued-in???
That’s not surprising when you consider that ten-in-ten of the female employees depend on office “romances” for career advancement.
That’s why they are bitching so much about “losing access to superiors” in the meetoo era. Without that “access” they can’t fuck their way to the top. It simply doesn’t occur to them to get promoted by actually doing their jobs well.
Well what the article really tells you is that the internet has gone from about 2-3% of meetups to almost 40%. EVERY other way of meeting someone is down. From office romances to family to friends introducing you, they are all down significantly as the internet becomes the most popular way to meet someone.
So, here are your top four:
Internet: You can see a picture, read up on them, do your own research. Granted the pictures are probably from 10 years and 50 pounds ago, but still.
Family: Not bad if you get along well with your family. You just have to know going in that you may have to put your foot down with your family, but that’s part of growing up anyway.
Friends: Awesome! Go out on that blind date they set you up with. Just assume that it’s going to be a train wreck and you all will have a story to tell over beers until the day you die. Three hours of misery for a lifetime of laughs.
Work: Well, I’m risking my livelihood on this one. It’s all fun and games until an accusation gets thrown out there. Then EVERYONE thinks your a creep and you may have to move thousands of miles away to maybe have a chance to start over. That one’s a no-go there sport.
So, since it makes so much sense to replace workplace romance with the internet, one has to wonder about the real agenda here. If you were cynical you might think that women want to be hit on at the workplace and that this article was printed to shame men into getting back into the game at work. So Judy can continue to spread her legs to advance her career and get guys fired if they find them “creepy”. You know, the creepy one’s that actually expect them to do their job.
I don’t know, I guess you’d have to ask yourself who REALLY benefits from people hooking up in the office. And who really gets hurt if that environment changes. And why they get hurt in an environment where everyone is just evaluated on their merit as an employee.
Order the good wine
It never ceases to amaze me that they haven’t figured out that if you poop in the punch bowl, no one wants to drink from it. Is it that hard to figure out? ( I know, dumb question)
OATHKEEPERS, not on our watch. MOLON LABE
my favourite don’t p~~~ in the jean pool.
I once dated a woman from work. When she knocked on my door I knew all my darkest secrets would be revealed at work. We stayed at home and she fell asleep on my couch. I walked her to her car. Never again.
#icethemout; Remember Thomas Ball. He died for your children.
the internet becomes the most popular way to meet someone.
Only by default. The number of people hooking up over the internet has remained fairly constant, while everywhere else it’s crashed utterly. Bars are going out of business. The local sports bar has even ended “ladies night” because it was costing them too much.
And why they get hurt in an environment where everyone is just evaluated on their merit as an employee.
That’s not the work environment. These days employees are largely evaluated on how likely they’ll be able to successfully sue.
Solution: don’t hire women.
Sadly, they are starting to go into law enforcement. SADLY 🙂
You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home
