Due to bigger brains, opposable thumbs, and walking upright, we have the conceit to believe we are better than the rest of the animal kingdom. Place us, however in environments alien to us, and we are bottom of the food chain.
The sea, the air, the desert, the jungle, the river, the forest, the ocean, even in the home, we are highly vulnerable. We are unable to run faster, jump higher, fly, swim underwater for long periods of time, live in harsh terrain……We were the last specie to be made. An afterthought. Similar to that small nugget of turd that gets stuck in one of your arse-hole hairs.

With this title I was thinking on something else.

I was thinking on how we are socially conditioned to protect the “weak”. How men in general care for the “weak”: women and children.

With the official religion of the Roman Empire (Christianity), to help the ones in need is no longer a good deed but rather a social obligation.

That is how victimhood works: if you are “weak”, then people (men) are obligated to help, and nobody can criticize you. Thus the “weak” have an upper hand, become entitled and deluded into thinking that they have value that they do not have.

As for nature, it works by its own laws: the law of strength. Men have superior tools, instead of big claws and nasty teeth. But then, are not claws and teeth tools as well?

The arrogance is different here. The arrogance is thinking that we are somehow “special” and above the laws of nature. The ecologists saying “save the earth” is an arrogant position. They should say “save mankind”, because we cannot survive without the present earth ecosystem.

Nature will survive, whatever happens, even if reduced to microorganisms.

I’ve studied this in great detail. Literally the ONLY reason we’re the dominant species is not because of our bodies or how smart we are, or anything else. It’s because we TEACH other humans what we’ve learned. Animals operate almost entirely on instinct. Humans have very few instincts and pretty much everything has to be taught.

As an example, take a bunch of regular humans living in New York and stick them in the middle of the jungle. Most of ’em would be dead within a week. Stick them in the arctic and all of them would probably die in a matter of hours. It doesn’t matter how “smart” these humans are when it comes to computers, or stocks, or administrative tasks. They have no instincts and will die unless they’re taught how to survive in those environments.

Think about the job you do and ask yourself if you’d be doing that job if another human before you hadn’t invented the technology to do that job. Each generation builds on what the previous generation has left behind. A truck driver wouldn’t be a truck driver without the guy that invented the truck. And the truck wouldn’t have been invented had a guy not invented a highway. And a highway wouldn’t have been invented had a guy not invented all the (mostly BULLS~~~) stuff that needs to be transported.

You, as an individual human are f~~~ing stupid, and lower than 99% of the animals out there. The only reason you’re able to live a decent life and dominate these other animals is because you’re a culmination of not only your success, but the success of EVERY human that’s come before you. And the generation after you will be better off than you were, and so on and so forth.

We are highly adaptive and resourceful, social, tool-using and tool-building primates. The reason we are the dominant species is because we collaborate beyond hunting and we developed tools for retaining learned experiences AFTER a member of the pack dies.

Nearly every other species on the planet doesn’t do this. The extent of their socializing and teaching is limited to social behaviors, avoiding poisonous foods, and how to get good food.

Almost, I always felt humans differentiated themselves from their environment because they adapted their environment to be suitable for them. Clothes, shelter, etc. all are made to make the environment more able to sustain them (or at least eons ago).
