Giving an explanation to women for your actions would make it seem like there’s a chance for reconciliation.
Women need to be accountable for their actions. By going along with the break up and not contacting her, you did just that. Kudos!

My experience is that most people that get into psychology as a career are usually attracted to it because they’re trying to figure out their own f~~~ed up problems. I’m not sure where you live, but my lawyer and every other advice I’ve heard has stated that it is very dangerous to get involved while still married, even if the marriage is essentially over. If this woman decides to go psycho on you, it could really hurt you in the divorce proceedings.
