I heard a rumor that there are special forces teams more elite than Seal Team six and Delta Force. They allegedly grow beards and blend in with the population. They also are said to take orders only from the President. They allegedly have their arms broken during their selection process. I dont know what branch of military they are a part of (if they exist). I really want to join one of those teams if they are real. The only problem is I dont how to join such a secret team(assuming that it isnt a conspiracy theory). What should I do?

Probably the only way you’ll get into that is by knowing the right people or having a heroic reputation.

There are several series of thriller novels based on that premise.

I think what you’re referring to (assuming it does actually exist) would fall more under the remit of black (deniable) ops, you don’t join such teams, they find you.

Yes. There is Seal Team seven. But now that you’ve been told, you have to kill yourself after you break both of your arms.

    Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

BritGHOW’s response would be the best bet.

Build yourself  in  all  ways  and they will come.

I think every country’s SF Teams think they are the best. If they didn’t, I would be a concerned citizen of that country. Like fighter pilots, they are c~~~y and all think they are the ducks nuts, it’s part of the job. Most UN countries train together and play together so there is a good stream of information and skills going in all directions. I am Australian and I have worked with SASR, Clearance Divers and Commandos who have worked and trained extensively with US, UK, Euro and Asian forces. I think any SF selection and training both physically and mentally would bring out the best candidates from any country or background. Just my 2 cents worth…

You have to get in as a regular grunt first. Then I believe the recruitment is an internal process based on recommendations by your commanding officers or NCO’s. But if that is your direction, do some research in terms of any skill sets you can build up to boost your chances. And definitely always be at peak physical and mental condition.

But be warned, the selection process will probably be the most difficult thing you have ever gone through in your life, and most do not get selected.

The video is Army Ranger, but imagine something like that, even worse the more elite you go.

SF/Seals/Delta/LRP/Marine Reacon are all under the same command structure now.  Is one better than the other?  That is very subjective.  Matters on the mission and what team is practicing for what mission at the time.  If you really want to know who is the most badass, look no further to see who are being hired as CIA Operators.  Oh wait.  No one knows who they are.  However, they only invite the best of the best and it matters not on what team you are playing for.  They like you, they want you, and want you in, you get put in.  They’ll even go so far as messing with your life so you want a new start with them.

Don't stick your dick into anyone you aren't willing to put up with for eighteen years and nine months.

Army Special Forces (Green Berets) were initially set up to to train and fight with indigenous forces, not so much as to act as “lone wolves” so to speak, in time that has more then likely changed. They were labeled as “advisors” in the press during the Vietnam war.

ALL Spec Warfare Units are the best. I worked with many of the teams mentioned and what is different between them is the mission. All have different things they are used for. Many have a multitude of mission/theater capabilities and all teams have overlap abilities, so Delta and the SEals have similar mission profiles, as do AF CCT,  PJ TACP. JTAC and Coast Guard MSST units. The Delta and SEal teams mentioned tend to work Anti-Terrorist, Insurgent missions as I recall. Those are the fast track killers.

Also, you have to look at the SAS. SBS, GROM, CROCS, Isayeret, Shayatet,  Speznatz, and many others. They are all very, very good at their jobs, and all think they are the best.

What I think you are talking about is “Our Bearded Buddies”, who are black ops, and I have met just a few in my times. You are recruited from the top of the pile in the Spec War communities. Normally you are only allowed professional contact with them, whatever it takes to do the job so to speak.

    Hope this limited info helps
