As for being a ‘broker of peace’, the US cannot fulfill that role, because it is not a neutral party in this conflict.

Well the Israel govrenment had done all kinds of evil to the palestinians and anyone who pints it out is wrongly branded as anti semetic.

Of course conflict is good for business & the USA sells Israel a lot of weapons.

Still if the roles were reversed I don’t imagine the palestinian government would be any different.

It’s the same with Ireland if the UK government said ok we no longer have any interest in northern Ireland it is not part of the UK many Irish Catholics would still want to throw out all the protestants.

I remember previous presidents promising that they would recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Obama, Bush, Clinton all of them promised to do this.

Trump is the only one, who actually is doing what he promised. I really doubt that the Arab’s ever believed USA could be trusted as a neutral negotiator. That goes against everything I know about Arabs.

USA has always been biased towards Israel. That should not be a surprise to anyone.

I find that appealing too. However, many Christians choose to follow the Old Testament rather than the New Testament.
