Well, my temp position helping clean up after Harvey came to an end a few weeks ago. During my position, I attempted to find an apartment to have somewhere to live other than my bed bug-infested truck (thanks to one of my customers when I ran my driving business).

I was understandably rejected, considering I lost my apartment back in 2016.

Regardless of this, I have paid off my other debts and owe no one anything anymore. I have a slight cushion in case of emergency and for bills for the next few months. Oddly enough, I’m more comfortable now than I was with an overpriced apartment.

Do I wish I had a place to go home to? Sure thing. But at the same time, I’ve not had to put in $700+ for rent a month for an EFFICIENCY, and have been able to use it towards a savings and a gym membership.

I also obtained an LTC (License to Carry) so I make sure I’m safe while I’m out in the streets.

I’m now at the gym at 1:30 in the morning, feeling great and one of the only people in here. I like coming here late at night, and I am feeling better every day.

My total bills come up to be just under $300, and that’s for the gym, car insurance, but NO DEBTS. I love that feeling.

Next goal will be to nab a full time position again and save for a small house of my own (since renting appears to be out of the option, unless anyone knows of any).

It’s been an interesting adventure living in my truck for the past year and a half, but I appreciate what little I do have and I am fairly happy otherwise.

No woman to pay money to or to stress me out, no friends or family to pay back anymore, I feel like for the first time in my life I can focus purely on myself without worrying about owing anyone anything.

That is what men do: we can bend, A LOT, but we never break. Way to go, Gov!

Everyone has start somewhere. Some people start pretty high up, then fall and rise again. You are not dead yet, so you can still keep trying. Never back down, never give up.

Gov, a man don’t need as much as women need. If we have a roof over our heads, food on the table and some money for doing what you like to do, that is all we need. We can adapt to the most f~~~ed up situations, no matter what happens.

The happiest times of my life? When I was living in a tent with my brothers in arms at the Army. No luxuries, just my brothers, a roof, food, and a s~~~ ton of comradery.

Also, when I went to Norway to meet one of our brothers here, that now is in a hiatus, where we had no luxuries too, but we had a great time, camping, walking around the town, grabbing a few beers by the pubs…

So, it is ALWAYS good to go back to the start. Relearn the basics, see what you are really made off, and how much you can endure, and still, come back even stronger than before.

Welcome back home, brother. We’ve kept your place at the table. It is good to have you back!

"Young was I once, I walked alone, and bewildered seemed in the way; then I found me another and rich I thought me, for man is the joy of man." Odin, Hàvamàl, stanza 47.

Without giving to much away, I would think twice about that house. I would think about taking care of people for the state and being a live in care taker. Do that.

If you do, you get a free place to live, and on top of that, no bills to pay. Wash some dishes, do some cleaning, and your good.

Have other care takers lined up so that you go from place to place so no one gets to comfortable with you and takes advantage of you.

They pay you and you get to live in their home as well. Job is easy. Most people are s~~~ that do it.

Also, before you go buying a house, think about a job where they pay your motel and you work on the road. If you like doing that make it a full time gig. Most guys and gals live that way for a LONG time.

Save that money, and do jobs on the side each day. Before you know it, you will have about 50,000 saved.

Also, if you can help it, now is a great time to get that trucking licence.

Also if you ever wanted to travel, think about doing some out of the state stuff. Maybe even go work on a cruise ship. You got no ties, and nothing to come home to, so go for it.

The world is big man. But its getting smaller. Your life is only one. Make it the best you can.

Keep your money up, and keep it safe. Don’t trust a bank. And Don’t trust money that the bank can hold for you. It takes just one note to get it all taken away.

Also, if you can do it. If you want to buy property, look into the s~~~ holes out in the middle of nowhere. A place with almost no people and no government around you are going to be the best places for you. You set up a nice cheap trailer. And live almost free. If they come and take it away from you, you lost a s~~~y 1000 trailer. Keep your real belongings safe and in a towable container.

The less you have and the less you keep the richer you will be. The idea here is to have THEM pay for your life. NOT YOU.

As time goes buy you will find that what other people see as s~~~ jobs are going to be your love of your life.

Also, if you haven’t yet. Make sure to get anything that you need done medically before you get that house. Dental work, Hair transplant etc. You want to have you want to put in a home first before you buy one just to live in.

A home is an investment for you. If you play your cards right, you may even end up with a life you always dreamed off.

I know its ruff man living in your car. Did that for a year. But the thing is. If it was for my kids, I would have never came back.

Now that I have been told that I am to have no contact and that means no visitation by the courts original order, I have given up on fighting. And don’t give a s~~~ anymore.

Live your life bro. Whatever you had is now there empire of dirt.

Sometimes, life puts you in a situation for a reason. Make it the best it can be.

You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home

Motel manager is another job that can sometimes come with a place to live.

    Hey Gov,

I can relate, a lot. I live in a travel trailer – and I love it.

Instead of getting a house, why not consider a more comfy/nicer rig?

My living expenses are about the same as yours. They’d be lower (almost free) if I didn’t need internet for my work.
