Most of the article is trying to explain away, pathologise, and make it in to a fetish or something but the first line of the article sums up everything clearly enough I think.

An Austrian brothel has bought a second sex doll after its first became more popular with customers than real women.

I don’t even think the doll they show in the article even looks like “the latest and greatest production”, and it’s still out competing the real brothel workers.

More so these dolls are starting to climb up the other side of the uncanny valley.

I find this notable as in this example we are already looking at a group of men that are ready to go to a brothel and given the choice of who to pay for with both options available on-site they’re going with the doll; again, a last gen one at that from the looks of it.
