For many years I have been fascinated by the idea that one day society as we know it will crumble and destroy itself. Whether through war, famine, ecconomic meltdown, or pandemic disease. Part of me wants to become a Prepper, another part of me thinks “Bring it On”.

I wonder why I find the idea that this society could end in destruction strangely liberating and almost comforting?

Although the result would mean my death, it doesn’t really bother me. It seems a price worth paying to be free of the ever increasing restaints on personal freedom and 1984 style slavery to a despotic system.

I didn’t always feel this way. It seems to have grown as I spend more time in this “Matrix”.

I’m starting to wonder if its a side effect of living in a system that progrerssively de-values the Masculine. As a sex that is blamed for all the ills of the world and seen only as a rescource to be expoited, what stake do I have in maintaing this society?

If it can’t change for the better, then let it end, and better luck in the next life.

Everything is a tool of the machine. Social Engineering is real, and calculated. Third Wave Feminism being pushed beginning at the same time that gold was detached from the dollar in 71 in the U.S. is not a coincidence. They knew that inflation caused by rampant money printing to wage wars and grow the State’s power with no intention of wages keeping up that the everyman was no longer going to be able to raise a family with his wages alone. So, better to empower women and make them think that them having to work as well was their idea would be the best way to go about it all. Third wave Feminism is a tool of the State, period. And when the State’s power is used for corporate/currency protection/empire building reasons such as we see in the Mid East, well then this is just outright Fascism…

It is basically corporate interests and profits moving forward on the backs and blood of the masses on a grand scale.

There’s a guy from Argentina who did a blog about what it was like living in an urban city after the Argentinia financial collapse in 1998.

Luckily we didn’t get hit as hard during the West financial collapse in 2009 because some of the things in the book were a real eye opener as to how bad things can get.

I haven’t read his blog in a long time but it’s still online:

Nothing is going to happen. People are already frothing at the mouth about the election and what’s going to happen.. Right wing news sites are telling people to stock up on ammo.. People think Russia is going to attack with nukes.. On and on..

Somehow I feel the same way, but I don’t think humanity is a failed experiment. I think the society as we know it is a failed experiment. People who talk big are more valued than people who actually do stuff. This is fundamental wrong. If you look at it all visions and ideas of a fair society failed during the last 100 years. Fascism and communism failed big, so big nobody in the right mind would ever try to repeat this experiment. Now capitalism fails and it is not a question of liberal or conservative, it’s the system itself. We can play the blame game who is responsible, but this does not help much. The financial system is broken beyond repair. Most of the western countries are so deindustrialized, we cannot even sustain our self anymore and are dependent on countries we considered enemies of our values. We need China for production, we need Russia and Arabic countries for oil and other resources and there is no way back, even if a newly elected government really wants to. On the other side those countries are not really stable, neither are they very trustworthy or reliable. Honest work is worth nothing. Big money is made in areas destructive to society, like hedgefonds. Even in smaller scales it is often the case the salesman makes more than those who actually built the stuff. That’s not fair and people see it every day. They are sick of it and getting more every day. No matter what they try and do, they can’t get out. One small disturbance in the force and the whole system can collapse.
It’s clear the upcoming election will not change it fundamentally. Maybe some measures will extend the time of agony, but in the end it will crash. And that’s a good thing. I want to see this system burn. It’s time is over. The biggest problem I see right now: Nobody has a real vision of what comes next. First time in history there is no vision of a future. The communists and fascist, as wrong as they were, had an idea to make the world better, at least they though so. Once republican ideas swept away aristocratic rulers in Europe and made way for a completely new way of living together, but it created new problems we can see now. I think it is time for something completely new, maybe without central governments, more localized and somehow organized via the Internet. I know it’s not a plan, it’s barely an idea and it has some big flaws, too.

    Any ideas are welcome. 😉

Until someone has an idea all what’s left we can do is preparing and enjoy the view. I have a rather serious amount of popcorn in my stock for the event…

If humanity comes to a crashing end, we should at least leave a message for the next species that will rise to power: keep your women on a very tight leash!

Today, I was sitting and watching a wasp trying to climb up the almost vertical fender area of my newly waxed car. He made it with some slipping and sliding .. but how he did it is remarkable. He worked his way up at an angle and finally reached a trim stripe where there was better footing .. he then traversed to the gap between the front fender and passenger side door and climbed the precipice until he took a rest on the arm of the right rear view mirror. It was amazing how he used all his legs in what looked like a choreographed climbing ballet .. and each of his legs and joints were barely a millimeter in diameter.
Why am I telling this story? .. because, without getting into anything religious, I’m not even touching on religion .. maybe just daydreaming a little philosophical; seeing something this small perform such an amazing feat and succeed .. makes me think there might, just might, be more to this universe than we know about. We can explain how an insect navigates .. but this is just a simple example of the many micro and macro things that intrigue me each day.
That upcoming apocalypse might shine answers on many things for which we haven’t even been able to formulate questions. I don’t personally see it as anything that I will fear. It might open a new window .. how do we know, how does anyone know? And yes, just like I did today, I’m also basically indifferent .. for now, just sitting back watching .. and kind of enjoying the ride.

Part of me wants to become a Prepper, another part of me thinks “Bring it On”.

Part of me is a prepper because “they brought it on”.

what stake do I have in maintaing this society?

You don’t, so pull up your steaks and maintain things to your advantage, meanwhile the political hive (females) elevate crazy to new and exiting levels!

    This is very important!

Not only it is not fair as it is destructive. How long does a man keeps producing while others make more money by not producing?

This is an incentive to total destruction of the productive parts of society.

We will see what happens when the Chinese and Indians stop producing stuff.

I agree, nothing big is going to happen, the more things change, the more they remain the same.

The only thing that will change, and this in a sense is no change at all, is that the ever tightening grasp of the Empire shall continue, however slowly, as not to alarm everyone all at once in any single generation.

Short of full blown thermonuclear war, humanity will continue in one form or another, so sit back, relax and enjoy the current decline. We’ll bounce back eventually, but for now, it’s rolling down hill and picking up speed. Part of me is leaning prepper too.

While out searching with my telescope for the giant meteor last night, I again failed to find it. Maybe it is approaching from a sun-ward direction and will only be spotted on final approach. One can only hope.
