Has anybody ever been in a situation like this where you reject a woman, and after you notice more flirty body language, and eventually to the point where she tries to get you alone and seduces you? Please share your story as I, myself, am about to face this situation.

What people call "love" is just a chemical reaction that compels animals to breed. It hits hard, then it slowly fades, leaving you stranded in a failing marriage. Your parents are gonna do it. Break the cycle. Rise above. Focus on science.

Look, I was a true blue piller.

I’m not stupid from an intelligence perspective, but God was I naive about life.

You will see this repeated here till you’re sick seeing it and will struggle to accept it as I did.

Women don’t want you to be nice – they don’t get off on it. The s~~~tier you treat them, the more they think they can rescue you and change you.

Maybe it’s some sort of perverse Mother rescuing a wayward child thing, or just their contrary nature, BUT IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT IT IS – it just IS.

Someone smarter than me here may be able to explain it ?

You’ll see this happen all the time, exactly the same as when they say they love a guy and then immediately want to start changing him. Clothes, haircut, manners, career path – they do it all. When do guys want to change their women ?

You need to accept it, just because it is.

As Sherlock said, ‘…when you have eliminated all which is impossible, then whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.’

Yeah, this is pretty standard behavior from women. If she’s attracted to you in some way (tall, good-looking, well-dressed, good dancer, whatever) and then you reject her, it increases the emotional tension she feels for you. Emotional tension is like catnip to chicks.

Thank you for the answer. I see I gotta train myself some more mentally for their “attack”

I bet the root cause is hybristophilia

Always expect the unexpected and gird your loins appropriately. It's a no-fault jungle out there.

I’ve seen all sorts of variations of this. Seduction is only one of the traps you have to be wary of.

    – They may offer you an FWB situation. The idea is to use the physical aspect to get you emotionally tied.
    – They may tell you all sorts of personal stuff to get you emotionally involved. They’ll tell you about the stress they’ve gone through and how hot they used to look. If you buy in now, you’ll get the hot body later.
    – They will tell you they are ok with being friends, only to try again later. They may even pretend you never rejected them and you were leading her on.
    – They will try and make you look bad in front of friends.

I had one particular woman try 3 of these 4 tactics on me. She didn’t know any of my friends.

    Ok. Then do it.
